Your tasks & responsibilities?
As a Senior AP Accountant, you are a key member of our Finance team. You ensure that the Accounts Payable process runs smoothly, accurately, and efficiently across multiple international entities. But your role goes beyond processing invoices: you contribute ideas, solve problems, and identify opportunities to continuously improve the way we work.
- You ensure that supplier invoices and payments are processed accurately and on time for multiple international entities.
- You oversee VAT compliance, internal controls, and financial procedures, ensuring that everything is handled in accordance with regulations and company policies.
- You closely monitor supplier accounts, perform reconciliations, and investigate outstanding items or complex invoice and payment discrepancies until a solution is found.
- You support month-end and year-end closing activities, audits, and financial reporting, ensuring that accurate information is available when needed.
- You identify opportunities to make our processes more efficient and are eager to take the lead in process improvement initiatives and automation projects within the Procure-to-Pay cycle.
- You are the primary point of contact for all Accounts Payable-related matters, both for colleagues within DESOTEC and for our suppliers.

Who are you?
Numbers, structure, and flawless processes are what energize you. You have a keen eye for detail, but you also look beyond the day-to-day: how can things be done smarter, more efficiently, or better? You take ownership, enjoy working in an international environment, and are not afraid to tackle complex invoice discrepancies. In short, you are an experienced Accounts Payable professional who is eager to make a real impact.
- You hold at least a bachelor’s degree in a finance-related field and have several years of experience in Accounts Payable or a similar accounting role.
- You are accurate, well-organized, and able to work independently. Deadlines do not intimidate you, and you maintain a clear overview, even when managing multiple entities and cases simultaneously.
- You have a solid understanding of VAT regulations, financial processes, and internal controls, and you believe it is important that everything is handled accurately and in compliance with applicable rules and policies.
- You are a natural problem solver. An invoice or payment discrepancy? You will investigate it thoroughly until you have identified both the root cause and the solution.
- You are always thinking one step ahead. You recognize opportunities to improve, automate, and streamline processes, and you are happy to take the initiative to make them happen.
- You communicate effectively and enjoy collaborating with colleagues, cross-functional teams, and suppliers. You are comfortable working in English, and experience in an international environment is considered a strong asset.

What does your team look like?
You will join a team of 8 accountants as part of a broader Finance department consisting of 25 colleagues. In this role, you will report directly to the Accounting Manager.
