As a CAD Administrator IV within the Engineering Enablement team, you will independently support and optimize CAD and PDM environments for multidisciplinary engineering teams. This advanced individual-contributor role champions CAD best practices, data integrity, standardized workflows, and scalable use of engineering design tools. You will collaborate with Engineering, IT, PLM, Procurement, and software vendors to resolve complex issues, guide users and other administrators, maintain current software licensing, and improve how CAD work gets done across the organization.

Where you come in:

  • You will own CAD and PDM administrative activities, including system configuration, troubleshooting, user support, and license management.
  • You will champion CAD best practices, data integrity, and standardized workflows across engineering teams to improve consistency, efficiency, and collaboration.
  • You will support CAD/PDM environments and engineering data practices, including user access, configuration, workflow support, version control, and integration with PLM and related systems.
  • You will serve as a technical escalation point for complex CAD/PDM issues, partnering with engineering teams to determine practical solutions that protect data integrity and enable work to proceed effectively.
  • You will manage the CAD Support Request process from intake through requester-confirmed closure, coordinating review, troubleshooting, communication, blocker resolution, escalation, and documentation.
  • You will coordinate license assignments, utilization monitoring, maintenance, and renewals with IT, Procurement, application owners, and software vendors to keep CAD tools current and available.
  • You will lead continuous improvement of CAD workflows, standards, tools, and support practices, and provide guidance to less-experienced administrators and users.

What makes you successful:

  • You have minimum 5 years of relevant experience in SolidWorks CAD and EPDM application support, engineering software administration, license management, technical support, or a related field.
  • You have experience administering engineering software licenses and supporting CAD applications.
  • You have experience with license-server administration and coordination with IT infrastructure or application teams.
  • You have experience managing the full lifecycle of technical support requests, including intake, prioritization, status tracking, documentation, escalation, requester communication, and closure.
  • You have an understanding of software licensing, user access, entitlement allocation, and utilization tracking.
  • You have an ability to diagnose complex software, access, configuration, connectivity, and licensing issues using a structured, evidence-based troubleshooting approach.
  • You have a strong organization, prioritization, attention to detail, and written and verbal communication skills.
  • You have the ability to work independently within established procedures and collaborate across technical and business teams.
  • You have demonstrated ability to independently lead complex cases, coordinate cross-functional resolution, improve support processes, and guide less-experienced team members.
  • You have hands-on experience administering SolidWorks PDM environments, including CAD data management, user access, configuration, workflow support, and data integrity.
  • You have an understanding of engineering change processes, product-design workflows, engineering bills of materials, and CAD/PDM integration with PLM and manufacturing systems.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience supporting SolidWorks CAD tools in an engineering or product-development environment.
  • Experience working with software vendors and supporting renewal or procurement activities.
  • Experience developing troubleshooting guides, knowledge articles, training content, or support-process improvements.
  • Familiarity with software compliance practices, controlled documentation, and access-management procedures.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
