The Business Development Manager is a strategic market development and demand creation role, responsible for expanding the presence and adoption of Dextra solutions (Bars, Geotec, FRP) through early-stage influence and upstream engagement.

He/She drives market penetration by targeting key applications, consultants, authorities, and project owners, ensuring Dextra systems are specified, approved, and positioned early in the design phase.

Acting as a bridge between markets, Product Management, Engineering, and Sales, the role shapes technical preference, contributes to long-term growth, and supports revenue generation by enabling project capture through specification influence and standardization. This role is not a sales function but is a key commercial growth enabler within the new organization.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Market Development & Demand Creation

  • Identify and prioritize high‑potential applications, segments and stakeholders to accelerate specification and market penetration.
  • Target key consultants, designers, project owners and authorities to influence early design decisions.
  • Support regional teams on mega‑projects, strategic customers, and cross‑territory opportunities.
  • Actively support and align with the global Key Account Management approach by contributing upstream insights, technical positioning, and specification strategies for Dextra’s Key Accounts.
  • Provide early upstream intelligence to regions and BD leadership to maximize Dextra’s commercial positioning on major projects.
  • Work closely with regional Sales teams to support the conversion of specification wins into revenue, tracking influence-to-sales conversion.

Specification Influence & Stakeholders Engagement

  • Promote Dextra solutions to engineering firms, designers, consultants, authorities and project owners and drive adoption of Dextra technical specifications for Bars, Geotec and FRP Products.
  • Drive the adoption of Dextra technical specifications in early design stages
  • Deliver technical presentations and value‑engineering discussions that support commercial differentiation.
  • Maintain active engagement throughout early project phases to secure specification positioning.
  • Support regions in adapting and deploying specifications according to local market needs.

Market Intelligence & Portfolio Feedback

  • Identify product gaps, market opportunities, and competitive threats, then communicate these to Product Management for roadmap alignment.
  • Provide structured feedback on application trends, market needs, and competitor strategies.
  • Propose improvements to existing specifications based on field experience, project feedback, and market evolution.
  • Provide guidance to regions on how to adopt or adapt specifications for local markets.

Technical Advocacy and Sales Enablement

  • Consolidate and structure testing evidence in coordination with Product Management, Product Engineering & Performance, and QC to support approvals, specifications, and technical credibility, ensuring full traceability and compliance.
  • Develop and maintain design guidance notes, standard technical details, and application recommendations.
  • Provide concept-level technical support (design justification, compliance note) during complex tenders and strategic pursuits.
  • Support approvals, certifications, and acceptance by authorities and key clients.
  • Maintain Dextra’s presence on approved product lists for consultants, contractors, and governmental authorities and track inclusion in ongoing tenders and projects
  • Clearly communicate Dextra’s technical advantages and validated product capabilities to project stakeholders.
  • Ensure that all specifications, design notes, and technical positioning remain fully aligned with validated product capabilities and approved performance limits.

Market Intelligence & Portfolio Feedback

  • Identify product gaps, emerging applications, and competitive threats.
  • Provide structured market feedback to Product Management to support roadmap alignment.
  • Propose improvements to specifications based on field experience and market evolution.
  • Highlight opportunities where Dextra is underrepresented and support targeted penetration strategies.

Standardization & Industry Positioning

  • Participate in national and international standardization committees, technical working groups, and industry associations, to support market acceptance and commercial growth.
  • Lead submissions and documentation supporting standards, approvals, and regulatory recognition.
  • Advocate for acceptance of Dextra solutions within applicable codes and approval frameworks.
  • Track and analyze upcoming regulatory changes impacting Bars, Geotec, or FRP Products.
  • Ensure all standardization initiatives support long-term product positioning and market growth.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
