The posting

Do you want to be a valued part of the critical infrastructure that serves communities across Europe and beyond? Are you looking for a position in which you can set direction and help shape our company? If so, then you could be the newest addition to our team as a Director of Used Asset Sales.

Be part of the movement - and play your part.

About the role

As a Used Asset Sales professional, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end sales process for used assets, from assessing equipment condition and market value through to securing buyers and completing sales. You will build strong customer and industry relationships, identify new sales opportunities and use market insight to develop competitive pricing and marketing strategies that maximise returns.

You will be responsible for

  • Coordinate equipment inspections and condition assessments, ensuring assets are accurately evaluated and prepared for sale.
  • Identify potential buyers, generate new sales leads and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
  • Research market trends, competitor pricing, auction results and supply and demand to recommend appropriate pricing strategies.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms and contracts with customers, dealers, brokers and other sales partners.
  • Develop and coordinate marketing activity for used equipment, including creating sales listings and promotional materials and advertising assets through websites, dealers, brokers and auctions.

About you

We are looking for a self-driven and outgoing sales professional with strong commercial awareness and a proven track record in sales, negotiation and relationship management. You will have experience securing the best possible recovery value while maintaining customer relationships, with an understanding of residual values, market pricing trends and profitability. You will ideally have knowledge of equipment specifications, capabilities, applications and condition, including how maintenance history and asset lifecycle can impact resale value. Experience in business development, contract management, used equipment markets or asset disposal would be highly desirable, alongside the ability to identify new buyers, dealers, brokers and sales channels.

You will have a strong understanding of buyer behaviour, supply and demand, competitor activity and wider market trends, with the ability to forecast market values and recommend the best disposal timing. You will be confident building and maintaining networks across dealers, brokers, auction houses, end users and rental companies, while demonstrating strong communication, influencing, negotiation and conflict-resolution skills. Above all, you will be able to communicate effectively with a range of personality types and across different geographical locations, providing excellent customer service while maximising margin and return on disposed assets.

We think the strongest teams are built on diversity and inclusivity. Contrasting opinions, varied skills and strong characters bring out the best in us all. And we cannot wait for you to join.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
