Catering offshore em Moçambique. Mobilização através de Pemba. Rotação prevista: 4 semanas no local / 4 semanas de descanso, sujeita ao plano de mobilização aprovado.

Apoiar o cozinheiro na preparação de alimentos, confecção básica e serviço de refeições, mantendo a cozinha limpa e cumprindo as instruções de segurança alimentar.

Reporta ao supervisor de catering ou ao responsável de equipa designado.

Principais responsabilidades

  • Lavar, descascar, cortar e porcionar ingredientes para as refeições previstas.
  • Preparar saladas, sanduíches e pratos simples sob orientação do cozinheiro.
  • Apoiar a confecção, o empratamento, a reposição no serviço e o controlo das porções.
  • Identificar e armazenar correctamente os ingredientes; separar alimentos crus dos prontos a consumir.
  • Lavar utensílios e limpar e desinfectar áreas de preparação e equipamentos.
  • Cumprir os procedimentos de temperatura, alergénios e resíduos; comunicar faltas, avarias e situações inseguras.
  • Cumprir as regras de HSE do local, utilizar os EPI exigidos e comunicar prontamente incidentes e situações inseguras.
  • Experiência prática como ajudante de cozinha, preferencialmente em catering, cozinhas colectivas, acampamentos ou hotéis.
  • Capacidade para preparar ingredientes, utilizar equipamentos básicos com segurança e seguir as instruções do cozinheiro.
  • Formação em higiene alimentar ou cozinha constitui uma vantagem; valoriza-se experiência offshore ou em locais remotos.
  • Inglês operacional suficiente para compreender instruções de segurança, comunicar com o supervisor e executar as tarefas diárias. O nível oral será avaliado na entrevista.

Perfil requerido

Disponibilidade e mobilização

Prioridade à disponibilidade imediata. Os candidatos devem confirmar a primeira data possível de mobilização e aceitar trabalho por turnos e permanência offshore durante a rotação.

Antes do embarque: passaporte válido, aptidão médica offshore e certificado BOSIET ou FOET válido, aceite pelo cliente, com CA-EBS. Candidatos sem a formação exigida devem confirmar disponibilidade para a realizar antes da mobilização.

Documentação de vacinação conforme as exigências da missão e da viagem. Caderneta marítima a apresentar, se disponível. A mobilização final depende da aprovação do cliente e da validação dos documentos exigidos.

Assistant Cook

Job description in English

Offshore catering in Mozambique. Mobilisation through Pemba. Planned rotation: 4 weeks on site / 4 weeks off, subject to the approved mobilisation schedule.

Support the cook with food preparation, basic cooking and meal service, keeping the kitchen clean and following food safety instructions.

Reports to the catering supervisor or designated team leader.

Main responsibilities

  • Wash, peel, cut and portion ingredients for scheduled meals.
  • Prepare salads, sandwiches and basic dishes under the cook's supervision.
  • Assist with cooking, plating, replenishing service counters and portion control.
  • Label and store ingredients correctly; keep raw and ready-to-eat foods separate.
  • Wash utensils and clean and sanitise preparation areas and equipment.
  • Follow temperature, allergen and waste procedures; report shortages, faults and unsafe conditions.
  • Follow site HSE rules, use required PPE and report incidents and unsafe conditions promptly.
  • Practical experience as an assistant cook or kitchen assistant, preferably in catering, institutional kitchens, camps or hotels.
  • Ability to prepare ingredients, use basic kitchen equipment safely and follow the cook's instructions.
  • Food hygiene or kitchen training is an advantage; previous offshore or remote-site experience is preferred.
  • Working English sufficient to understand safety instructions, communicate with the supervisor and carry out daily tasks. Spoken level will be assessed at interview.

Required profile

Availability and mobilisation

Immediate availability is prioritised. Candidates must confirm their earliest mobilisation date and be willing to work shifts and live offshore during the rotation.

Before boarding: valid passport, offshore medical clearance, and a valid BOSIET or FOET certificate accepted by the client with CA-EBS. Candidates without the required training must confirm availability to attend it before mobilisation.

Vaccination documentation as required for the assignment and travel. Seaman's book to be provided if available. Final mobilisation is subject to client approval and clearance of the required documents.
