About the Function:

Finance at Diageo is about more than the numbers, it’s about shaping the decisions behind them.

From guiding investment to unlocking growth, this team plays a critical role in how we perform today and how we plan for tomorrow. You’ll work with data, insight and digital tools to influence strategy and help drive a business that operates at global scale.

It’s a fast-moving environment where no two days are the same, and where you’ll be supported to build your skills, grow your career and make a real impact.

About the role

  • Partner with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Procurement and Planning teams to translate operational performance into financial insights, risks and actions.
  • Coordinate COGS forecasts, Annual Operating Plan (AOP), Latest Estimate (LE) and strategic planning inputs for local and imported products, ensuring robust cost assumptions, forecast accuracy and financial visibility.
  • Analyze actual COGS against forecast and budget, explaining volume, mix, material price, foreign exchange and production cost variances.
  • Support product cost updates and inventory valuation, ensuring accurate financial impact assessment and appropriate controls.
  • Monitor and analyze factory overhead costs against budget and forecast, identifying key cost drivers, variances and opportunities for cost optimization.
  • Drive inventory and cash performance through inventory forecasting, valuation and monitoring of DIO/DFC, working capital and SLOB, coordinating actions and opportunities for stock optimization.
  • Evaluate, validate and track Supply Productivity initiatives and savings across raw materials, packaging, manufacturing and logistics, including material substitution, sourcing, manufacturing efficiency, capacity utilisation and logistics improvements. Coordinate productivity planning, savings validation and performance reporting to ensure accurate tracking and transparent reporting of realised savings.
  • Coordinate CAPEX planning, budgeting, Latest Estimate (LE) forecasting, investment tracking and governance; provide financial analysis for supply investment business cases, including financial returns, payback, key assumptions and execution risks.
  • Support month-end performance reviews and management reporting with clear COGS, inventory and supply cost commentary and actionable recommendations.
  • Work with Finance and Supply stakeholders to improve cost transparency, data quality and the effectiveness of reporting and forecasting processes.

Experience/skills required:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in finance, preferably in Supply Finance, costing, FP&A or manufacturing finance.
  • Good understanding of COGS, standard costing, inventory valuation, cost variances and working capital.
  • Strong analysis and forecasting skills, translating supply chain drivers into financial insights.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships and influence stakeholders across Supply and Finance.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and complexity in a fast-paced, matrixed business environment.
  • Personal accountability, analytical problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Advanced Excel and SAP (or equivalent ERP) experience; planning and BI tools are an advantage.
  • Experience in FMCG, beverages or another manufacturing environment is an advantage.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
