Job Title: Exam Invigilator

Actual Hourly Rate: £13.45

Contract Type : Casual

Provisional Start Date: January 2027, pending completion of pre-employment checks

Your opportunity to be part of a dedicated exam invigilation team, supporting students during key assessment periods throughout the academic year.

We are seeking reliable and professional Exam Invigilators to join our supportive and talented Exams Team at Digitech Studio School. As part of a diverse and ambitious multi-academy trust, we are looking for individuals who are passionate about supporting young people and helping to create a positive examination experience for every student.

This flexible, casual role offers the opportunity to support students undertaking examinations, including mock exams and formal assessment periods. Working under the direction of the Exams Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring examinations are conducted fairly, efficiently and in accordance with Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) regulations and academy procedures.

As an Exam Invigilator, Reader or Scribe, you will help provide a calm, supportive and well-organised environment, ensuring all candidates have an equal opportunity to demonstrate their abilities and achieve their full potential.

This position requires flexibility, as examination periods take place across the academic year, typically during November, January, March, May and June, alongside additional mock examination periods. Working hours will vary depending on the exam timetable and may include early starts to prepare examination rooms or occasional finishes after the school day has ended.

Whether you have previous invigilation experience or are looking for a flexible role within education, this is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful contribution during some of the most important moments in a student's academic journey.

About you:

You will have:

  • practical experience of understanding and following processes and procedure.
  • excellent interpersonal, good organisational and time management skills.
  • have the ability to keep calm under pressure or during unexpected circumstances.
  • have a caring and understanding attitude, sensitive and responsive to the needs of our students.
  • the capabilities to work as part of a team but also under own initiative

Applicants are advised to refer to the full requirements of the role in the attached job description and person specification, prior to submitting an application.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
