The position is temporary, starting on 1 January and ending at the end of December 2027.

DIGNITY

Since 1982, DIGNITY has worked for a world free from torture and violence. We are a human rights and development organisation with our own rehabilitation clinic. We prevent torture and violence, rehabilitate traumatised survivors and document serious human rights violations so that those responsible can be brought to justice.

In DIGNITY's International Programmes Department, we work closely with our partners to develop and implement holistic and locally anchored interventions within torture and violence prevention and the rehabilitation of torture survivors.

The department consists of approximately 30 staff members based at our headquarters in Copenhagen. In addition, we have colleagues affiliated with country offices in Ukraine, Jordan and Tunisia, and representations in Uganda, Burkina Faso and Morocco.

Your primary role and area of responsibility will be to co-manage DIGNITY’s MEAL system related to all international projects, including clinical data related to programs and research, Outcome Harvesting, assessments of capacity building, trainings and learning outcomes etc. A key part of the job is also to guide and support project managers and partners on MEAL and data management as well as undertaking data analysis and dissemination (both qualitative and quantitative) and to deliver evidence-informed input to program and project development.

Your specific tasks will include:

  • Coordination and management of Annual Evaluations and Annual plans to donors
  • Continuous development and organizational implementation of MEAL-related chapters in DIGNITY’s project Manual
  • Strengthening the use of Outcome Harvesting on a cross-cutting level
  • Strengthening DIGNITY’s approach to high-quality implementation research through solid and systematic data collation and processing
  • Guiding and supporting project managers and partners:
  • Assist in yearly log frame and indicator development, including target setting on project level
  • Visits to local partners in the Global South
  • Training of partners and colleagues in all MEAL-related matters (incl. online, hybrid, and on-site training)
  • Support the use and implementation of digital data collection systems, incl. KOBO Toolbox
  • Development of surveys and questionnaires and guidance on the use of existing validated tools
  • Assist in Partnership Health Checks, needs assessments and project evaluations when needed
  • Advice on ethics and data security

We offer:

  • A position in a dynamic organisation with a global outlook and a strong professional focus, where the work is driven by the desire to make a positive difference for some of the world's most vulnerable people.
  • An opportunity to become part of an international team of committed and skilled colleagues with a focus on collaboration, shared learning and professional development.
  • Flexible working hours and a focus on a good work-life balance.

Competencies

We are looking for a candidate with an academic background at Master’s level within a disciplinary field that has a strong focus on data management and methodology including public health, data science, evaluation science, sociology or other social sciences. We also expect you to have at least 2-3 years of experience with monitoring and evaluation as advisor, analyst, project manager, researcher etc.

In addition, we will emphasise that you have the following competencies:

  • Solid experience with and understanding of MEAL concepts and methods

  • Understanding of project management processes and tools
  • Experience with key MEAL tools (e.g. KOBO Toolbox)
  • Strong analytical skills

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
