The posting

Saint Ambrose Dual Language Catholic School, a PreK–8 school in the Diocese of Arlington located in Annandale, Virginia, is seeking Bilingual Instructional Assistants (Spanish/English) for the 2026–2027 school year.

Instructional Assistants work closely with the lead classroom teacher in a highly collaborative environment to support instruction and student learning. Assistants help facilitate a variety of classroom activities, support small-group learning, and assist with the supervision and care of students throughout the school day. In our dual language immersion program, bilingual assistants play an essential role in supporting language development and helping students grow academically and culturally in both English and Spanish.

Qualified candidates will:

  • Be fluent in Spanish and English
  • Demonstrate a love for working with children
  • Collaborate effectively with teachers and school staff
  • Support the mission and values of Catholic education
  • Show an interest in child development and learning

Ideal candidates will have an associate’s degree or higher, experience working with children, and an interest in pursuing a career in education.

Salary Range: $30,000–$43,000 annually (10-month position), commensurate with education, qualifications, and relevant experience.
