Transportation Engineer - Indianapolis, IN

DISHER is partnering with a highly respected, growth-oriented civil and environmental engineering firm to identify a Transportation Engineer to join their team in their growing Indianapolis or Danville offices. This individual will provide high-quality engineering for our clients while supporting other Project and Client Managers and helping to work with and lead our local design team.

What you'll get to do:

  • Lead design of municipal infrastructure projects with a focus on roadway and trail work, including the development of studies, preliminary and final design, and permitting.
  • Work with our engineers, designers, technicians, and surveyors to help complete projects on time and on budget.
  • Administer construction contracts including review of construction submittals, pay applications, and project changes.
  • Supervise design team to achieve project, client, and corporate objectives.

What will make you successful:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering required.
  • 5-15 years of related experience desired.
  • Experience with the study, planning, and design of municipal infrastructure projects, with a heavy focus on transportation related projects.
  • A thorough understanding of municipal funding agencies and experience with construction oversight and permitting.
  • Proven experience in preparing and meeting budgets and schedules.
  • Proven experience in developing engineering scopes and work plans and developing municipal engineering projects.
  • Experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Good communication skills and a desire to interact effectively with our team.
  • PE in Indiana is desired but not mandatory.
  • Previous experience with projects funded by and through INDOT, including CCMG and NOFA funds, is preferred.
