Responsibilities:

  • Own the stability, scalability, and reliability of our multi-tenant payment platform supporting Disney+, ESPN+, and Hulu, proactively identifying and resolving issues before they impact customers.

  • Maintain a high engineering bar by writing well-tested, maintainable code, actively participating in design discussions and code reviews, and continuously improving system quality.
  • Take initiative to identify opportunities for innovation, operational improvements, automation, and technical debt reduction, helping shape the future of our payment platform.
  • Operate with an ownership mindset, supporting critical production systems through on-call rotations, incident response, root cause analysis, and long-term corrective actions to improve service health.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of related work experience
  • Proven hands-on experience with Scala, Java, or similar programming languages.
  • Proven hands-on experience with API design, including REST and gRPC.
  • Demonstrated analytical and strong system design skills.
  • Hands-on experience with event-driven systems using technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or AWS SNS/SQS.
  • Exposure to cloud infrastructure, such as AWS, Spinnaker, and Kubernetes
  • Strong communicator and team player, able to adapt quickly and effectively in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
  • A commitment to continuous learning, mentorship, and striving for excellence.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in functional programming environments, especially with Scala and the Cats Effect ecosystem

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
