Electronics Test Technician- Mossville, IL

Onsite | Full-Time

An Electronics Technician is needed to support the Electric Power Systems team.

Position Overview

· Job responsibilities include providing technician support for a Motor Gen Lab (genset simulation) and Genset Lab (generators and load banks) used for electronic controls testing and validation.

· Other responsibilities include assistance with test execution, building harnesses for test benches, building electronics test boxes and equipment, identifying issues and fixing problems with electrical components and equipment, test bench setup with power sources, test boxes, multiple ECMs (electronic control modules) and other electronic components.

· Knowledge of electrical and electronic systems is critical and experience with gensets and PLC control is beneficial. Experience with common technician hand tools (e.g. crimpers, screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers) is also required.

Requirements

Basic Requirements:

· Associates degree, Vocational school graduate, or Equivalent technical training – or equivalent Experience based learning

· Minimum 2 years of work experience as an Electronics Technician

· Understanding of switches, relays, actuators, sensors, and other electrical and electronic components

· Experience with hand crimpers, screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers, and other hand tools

· Experienced with various electro/mechanical equipment and basic power tools

Top Candidates Will Also Have:

· Experience with gensets and power generation

· Experience with PLC controls

· Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings to build harnesses and test boxes

· Familiarity with the use of multi-meters, oscilloscopes, and programmable devices and other standard electronic test equipment

· Good oral and written communication skills

· Good familiarity in using Word & Excel and file management
