Entry Level Automation Engineer (2027)

This role is for any entry level engineer (0-3 years of experience) looking for a position in 2027. We have an exceptional onboarding and training program to help align your skillset with our technical offerings.

Responsibilities:

• All engineers at DMC focus on programming and software solutions, such as: Controls programming including food and beverage processing and packaging, automotive assembly lines, and packaging machinery controls Design and develop automated test systems using LabVIEW, TestStand, C#, and Python for a variety of industries and applications, including, EV battery, aerospace and rocket, turnkey, and cloud-enabled test and measurement systems Consult with clients on status updates, maintaining positive rapport while addressing requests Travel to customer manufacturing sites for solution commissioning, including troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems
• Collaborate with project teams of varying sizes and experience levels
• Assist senior engineers in scoping, estimating, and proposing new projects
• Manage tasks with project teams, prioritizing needs and addressing risks and roadblocks
• Develop and grow leadership skills
• Note: 25-50% travel is required for some positions, with additional benefits for higher travel commitment

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Engineering, or related field
• Minimum GPA of 3.4
• Interest and ability to program in text-based languages and object-oriented concepts
• Quick learner with a strong desire for continuous improvement
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for internal and external collaboration

Salary Range

$87,500—$97,500 USD
