The posting

DNA Payments is entering the high-risk merchant space, and we’re looking for a Senior Corporate Sales Manager to lead the charge. As the first dedicated high-risk sales hire within our Corporate division, you’ll take DNA’s omnichannel payments proposition to merchants in sectors including gaming and gambling, online dating, pharma and healthcare, CBD and nutraceuticals, and other specialist verticals that need a payments partner who understands their risk profile.

This is a pivotal, build-from-the-ground-up role. You’ll bring a working understanding of the high-risk landscape – the merchants, the acquiring and sponsor bank relationships, and the ISOs, referral partners, PSPs and platforms that drive deal flow – and use it to shape DNA’s go-to-market approach, from target segments and partner strategy through to proposition and pricing.

You’ll own the full sales cycle, from prospecting and partner-led introductions through discovery, underwriting and due diligence, to negotiation and contract signing, before completing a structured handover into our Corporate Account Management team. Working closely with our Risk, Compliance, Product, Marketing and Commercial teams, you’ll make sure we onboard the right merchants, on the right terms, at pace.

We need someone who can hit the ground running: credible with merchants and partners from day one, commercially sharp, and comfortable operating where regulation, risk appetite and revenue all have to line up.

If you know the high-risk space inside out and want to be the person who builds it at a fast-scaling fintech, we want to hear from you.

What we’re looking for:

  • 3+ years’ experience selling payment solutions (acquiring, gateway or PSP services) into high-risk merchants in the UK/EU
  • A proven track record in one or more of: gaming/gambling, online dating, pharma/healthcare, CBD/nutraceuticals, or similar regulated and high-risk sectors
  • Strong understanding of the high-risk partner ecosystem – acquirers, sponsor banks, ISOs, referral partners, PSPs, gateways and platform providers
  • Experience shaping or executing a go-to-market strategy for a new vertical, product or market entry
  • An established network of merchant and partner relationships you can activate quickly
  • Working knowledge of card scheme rules and high-risk requirements, including MCCs, chargeback and fraud thresholds, scheme monitoring programmes, licensing and KYC/KYB

Key Responsibilities:

  • Building and executing DNA’s go-to-market plan for high-risk verticals – target segments, partner strategy and proposition – alongside Product, Marketing and Commercial
  • Targeting and acquiring high-value merchants across gaming/gambling, dating, pharma/healthcare, CBD and adjacent sectors
  • Developing a partner channel of ISOs, referral partners, introducers, PSPs and platforms to generate a consistent flow of qualified opportunities
  • Working hand-in-hand with Risk, Compliance and Underwriting to qualify merchants early, build strong applications and move deals through due diligence efficiently
  • Pitching directly to founders, C-level, finance and payments decision-makers
  • Leading deals from first contact through to signed contracts, operating within DNA’s risk appetite, commercial governance and contract processes
  • Raising DNA’s profile in the space through key industry events, trade bodies and partner networks
  • Feeding market intelligence back into the business – competitor positioning, pricing and merchant needs – to sharpen our proposition
  • Completing structured handovers of newly signed accounts into the Corporate Account Management team
  • Maintaining accurate pipeline records in Salesforce and consistently exceeding targets

About You:

  • You come from a high-risk payments background – an acquirer, PSP, ISO or specialist high-risk provider
  • You’re confident discussing risk with merchants: chargeback management, fraud controls, rolling reserves, settlement terms and transaction monitoring
  • You’re entrepreneurial and resilient, and you’re energised by building something new rather than inheriting an established book
  • Demonstrable knowledge of sales methodologies (MEDDPICC, SPIN, Solution Selling, etc.)
  • Disciplined pipeline and CRM habits, with the commercial rigour to operate within agreed pricing, approval and risk frameworks
  • A self-starter mentality, comfortable working remotely/hybrid with autonomy
  • Desirable: Experience with alternative payment methods, open banking or cross-border/multi-currency processing would be a strong advantage

What’s in it for you?

You’ll work with a collaborative team and join a fast growth fintech where you’ll get the chance to learn and develop, and if that’s not enough, you also receive the following benefits.

  • Competitive Salary & Incentive plan
  • Work related travel is expensed
  • 25 days holiday per year
  • Private Medical
  • Life Assurance
  • Ride to work
  • Access to self-learning platform
  • Income Protection
  • Workplace Pension
  • Employee Assistance Programme

Working location: Home based with the ability to work from one of 3 UK offices (London, Nottingham, Hull) whenever you choose.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
