Izrađuje godišnji, mjesečni i individualni plani program rada, sudjeluje kod prijema korisnika i uključivanja u novu sredinu, izrađuje individualni plan za korisnike i evaluaciju istih, procjenjuje preostale sposobnosti korisnika, provodi inicijalno testirane, sudjeluje u timskoj procjeni potreba, interesa i preostalih sposobnosti korisnika, pruža sve vrste socijalnih usluga, provodi edukacijskorehabilitacijske programe i aktivnosti, radi na poticanju i održavanju kognitivnih i motoričkih vještina, radi na razvijanju vještina za samostalnu brigu o vlastitoj prehrani, osobnoj higijeni, osobnom izgledu i urednosti, radi na uspostavi i održavaju socijalnih odnosa, pruža pomoć pri snalaženju u vremenu i prostoru, radi na osnaživanju korisnika, na razvoju socijalnih i emocionalnih osobina, razvijanju radnih navika, vodi brigu o higijeni prostora u kojem borave, izrađuje izvješća o rezultatima realizacije programa, brine o estetskom uređenju radnog prostora, nabavlja didaktičke materijale i pomagala, potiče razvoj interesno - kreativnih aktivnosti, razvija socijalno - vrijednosni sustav i komunikacijske vještine, potiče razvoj pozitivnog stava prema sebi i okolini, potiče društveno ponašanje, vodi propisanu evidenciju i ostalu potrebnu dokumentaciju, sudjeluje u radu stručnih tijela i povjerenstava Centra, te surađuje s ostalim stručnim radnicima, osigurava i provodi savjetodavni rad s korisnikom, roditeljima, skrbnicima i članovima obitelji, redovito se stručno usavršava, radi sa studentima, pripravnicima i volonterima, radi ostale poslove po nalogu ravnatelja.
