What you'll do As a Software Engineer Intern on the B2B-ADM team, you will help build intelligent backend services and data pipelines that power customer facing workflows and AI assisted features. You will work on well scoped features that make our platform more proactive and useful, helping customers move from manual, ad hoc work with their agreements to guided experiences that highlight what matters and suggest next steps. You will collaborate closely with your mentor and the broader engineering team, gaining experience in backend services, data flows, and AI assisted workflows in a production environment using technologies like C#, Azure, Postgres, and Cosmos DB. This is an internship role for 4 months of duration. This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Director of Engineering. Responsibility Collaborate with your mentor and the engineering team to design and implement scoped backend features in C# for agreement centric products and services Contribute to services and workflows running on Azure that prepare suggested actions and insights for human review, with clear and explainable reasoning behind each suggestion Help build and maintain reliable, testable services and data pipelines using data stores such as Postgres and Cosmos DB, including unit and integration tests and basic observability such as logging and metrics Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and demos, and incorporate feedback from senior engineers to grow your technical and collaboration skills Work with product and other partners to understand user needs and translate them into well structured engineering tasks under guidance Job Designation Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation) Positions at Docusign are assigned a job designation of either In Office, Hybrid or Remote and are specific to the role/job. What you bring Basic Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in a relevant field with an expected graduation date between May/June 2027 and December 2027 Experience with at least one programming language used for backend or services development Coursework or project experience in data structures, algorithms, and fundamental software engineering practices such as version control, testing, and debugging Preferred Interest in working with C# and the Azure ecosystem Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid team environment, communicate clearly about progress and blockers, and show willingness to learn from feedback Experience, through coursework, projects, or prior internship, building backend services, APIs, or data pipelines using C# or a similar language Familiarity with Azure services such as App Services, Functions, or related components, and modern service architectures such as microservices or event driven systems Exposure to or interest in working with relational and NoSQL data stores such as Postgres and Cosmos DB Exposure to or interest in AI and ML concepts such as large language models, information retrieval, or natural language processing, especially as they apply to documents and contracts Experience working with logging, metrics, or monitoring tools in a project or lab setting Demonstrated ability to break down loosely defined problems into smaller tasks and deliver incremental improvements with guidance Wage Transparency Pay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
