What your impact will be

As a Forward Deployed Engineer Intern at Domino, you’ll spend 10 weeks working directly with our customers and teams to help them realize value from the Domino platform. Unlike traditional engineering internships, FDE interns blend software engineering skills with customer empathy and domain awareness.

Throughout your internship, you’ll get hands-on experience writing code, designing solutions, and supporting real-world, high-stakes environments spanning healthcare, life sciences, finance, government, and beyond.

At Domino, we believe in giving interns opportunities to contribute to impactful and visible projects from the start. You’ll gain mentorship, practical experience, and a strong understanding of what it means to be an FDE, all while making a meaningful contribution to our customers and teams.

What we look for in this role

  • “Act fast, own it” mentality: We move fast, and need people who are driven, motivated, and bold.
  • Passion for AI/data engineering, software engineering, large language models, and real world applications
  • Proficiency in Python is required, additional experience with R, Java, or C/C++ is a plus
  • Exposure to building applied AI systems such as RAG pipelines, agentic workflows, or model evaluation, through coursework, internships, or personal projects
  • Comfort picking up container concepts such as Docker and Kubernetes, and basic familiarity with a cloud provider such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Strong communication and problem solving skills, with an interest in customer facing work
  • Graduating in Spring 2028, pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field

The US compensation range listed below represents the hourly rate for this internship, which is expected to last approximately 2.5–3 months. In addition to hourly compensation, interns may receive a monthly housing stipend for the duration of the internship. Additional details regarding the internship period, compensation, and housing stipend will be provided during the interview process.
