  • Complete scheduled preventive maintenance activities according to established procedures and timelines.
  • Respond promptly to work orders, equipment failures, safety concerns, and urgent facility needs.
  • Diagnose maintenance problems, determine appropriate corrective actions, and escalate complex or high-risk issues to the Facilities Manager.
  • Install, repair, or replace lighting, outlets, switches, plumbing fixtures, doors, locks, ceiling tiles, hardware, and other facility components.
  • Monitor building automation systems, utility systems, alarms, and equipment conditions as assigned.
  • Conduct routine inspections of mechanical rooms, production areas, offices, grounds, rooftops, and other facility areas.
  • Assist contractors and vendors by providing site access, communicating the scope of work, and reporting progress or concerns to the Facilities Manager.
  • Support facility improvement projects, equipment installations, office moves, renovations, and other assigned projects.
  • Maintain accurate records of completed work, labor, materials, inspections, equipment conditions, and follow-up needs in the computerized maintenance management system.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, replacement parts, and maintenance work areas in a safe, clean, and organized condition.
  • Identify needed parts and supplies and communicate purchasing or inventory needs to the Facilities Manager.
  • Follow established safety procedures, including lockout/tagout, hazard communication, personal protective equipment, ladder safety, and electrical-safety requirements.
  • Immediately report unsafe conditions, equipment damage, environmental concerns, and potential compliance issues.
  • Assist with emergency-response, evacuation, weather-preparation, and business-continuity activities.
  • Recommend opportunities to improve equipment reliability, safety, energy efficiency, and maintenance processes.
  • Provide technical assistance to less-experienced maintenance employees when requested.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to after-hours facility emergencies when required.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least three years of facility, commercial building, industrial, manufacturing, or related maintenance experience.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, carpentry, and general building-maintenance practices.

  • Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, ladders, lifts, meters, and maintenance diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to read work orders, equipment manuals, safety instructions, diagrams, and basic blueprints or schematics.
  • Basic computer skills and experience using email, work-order software, or a computerized maintenance management system.
  • Strong organization, time-management, communication, and customer-service skills.
  • Ability to prioritize assignments and work independently with limited supervision.
  • Willingness to work occasional overtime, weekends, or emergency call-ins.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record if operating company vehicles is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with building automation systems, fire and life-safety systems, generators, air compressors, or production-support utilities.
  • Experience using a computerized maintenance management system.

Physical and Work Requirements

  • Regularly stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, climb, and work in confined or elevated areas.
  • Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Safely operate ladders, lifts, hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
  • Work indoors and outdoors in environments that may involve noise, dust, temperature changes, moving equipment, mechanical hazards, or other facility-related conditions.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
