At Dreamix, we are looking for a Databricks Champion with strong data engineering expertise to drive best practices, optimize data solutions, and promote the effective use of Databricks across our projects. If you are passionate about building scalable data platforms and driving technical excellence, join us in advancing our data engineering capabilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive Databricks best practices and adoption across data engineering initiatives.
  • Design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines using the medallion architecture.
  • Work hands-on with Databricks, Apache Spark, Delta Lake, and Unity Catalog.
  • Optimize pipeline performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
  • Establish standards for data quality, testing, monitoring, and pipeline observability.
  • Ensure data governance, security, access control, and compliance.
  • Define reusable architectural patterns and engineering standards for data solutions.
  • Collaborate with AI Engineers and stakeholders to deliver high-quality data products.
  • Evaluate new Databricks features and identify opportunities to improve platform capabilities.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentor engineers on data engineering best practices.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience in data engineering.
  • Databricks certification is mandatory, alongside strong hands-on experience with the platform.
  • Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL.
  • Strong knowledge of Apache Spark, Delta Lake, and Lakehouse architecture.
  • Experience building and optimizing scalable ETL/ELT pipelines.
  • Familiarity with data streaming technologies such as Kafka.
  • Understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and medallion architecture.
  • Knowledge of data governance, security, and data quality practices.
  • Proven ability to establish technical standards, share knowledge, and guide engineering teams.
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
