About the Opportunity

The Advanced Forecast Analytics Modeler will shape the future of supply forecasting by transforming complex agricultural data into scalable statistical, AI, and physiology-based models that improve forecast accuracy and business decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, validate, deploy, and continuously improve advanced models to increase forecast accuracy.
  • Maximize current data and identify future data needed to improve forecast performance.
  • Prepare and cleanse data while establishing clear definitions and consistent data flows for AI model development.
  • Develop physiology-based models to complement AI forecasting and support hybrid modeling approaches.
  • Evaluate emerging analytical methods, modeling techniques, and technologies for business application.
  • Design robust sampling methodologies and signal thresholds to strengthen model inputs and validation.
  • Participate in field sampling activities to validate data and model assumptions.
  • Complement existing team capabilities by providing advanced technical support and capability development to frontline teams.
  • Develop analyses, reports, and data visualizations tailored to technical, operational, and leadership audiences.

Candidate Profile

Education and experience:

  • Master’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Data Analytics, Agricultural Science, or a related quantitative field; PhD preferred.
  • Four or more years of experience in statistical modeling, forecasting, data analytics, or a related field.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Python, R, Excel, or similar tools for data analysis, model development, and automation is a MUST.
  • Ability to independently lead complex analytical work and translate findings into practical business applications for technical, operational, and leadership audiences is a MUST.
  • Experience with AI-enabled forecasting, machine learning, time-series methods, statistical testing, model validation, or hybrid modeling approaches is PREFERED.
  • Experience in agriculture, agribusiness, supply forecasting, manufacturing, or logistics is PREFERED.
  • Experience with crop modeling and knowledge of crop physiology, agricultural, weather, environmental, geospatial, quality, or field-level data is PREFERED.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving, cross-functional collaboration, curiosity, and attention to data quality is PREFERED.

Additional Requirements

  • Up to 25% domestic and international travel, including field and operational visits.
  • Valid driver’s license and eligibility for the company-sponsored vehicle insurance program.
  • Valid passport and ability to travel internationally without restrictions.

Compensation & Benefits:

The actual compensation offered to the successful candidate is dependent upon experience, skills, education, work location, internal pay equity, and other objective job-related factors.

Salary Range estimated for Position Here: $87,000 to $105,000 USD.
