Why This Role

This role focuses on delivering high-quality outcomes through expertise in operational risk management, safety, and behavioural coaching within complex operational environments. You will work as part of a dss+ delivery team, supporting a global client to drive meaningful and sustainable change across their Dutch operations.

Your Impact at dss+

You will play a key role in delivering coaching and training interventions to strengthen safety culture, improve risk awareness, and embed sustainable behavioural change across client operations.

Key Accountabilities

• Deliver on-site coaching and training to leadership teams to strengthen safety culture and behaviours
• Support the identification of safety and operational risk improvement opportunities
• Apply operational risk management expertise to drive practical, sustainable improvements
• Work closely with dss+ teams and client stakeholders to align delivery and maximise impact
• Facilitate workshops, coaching sessions, and behavioural interventions
• Reinforce leadership capability and accountability for health, safety, and risk management
• Contribute to measurable improvements in safety performance and operational discipline

Who You Are

You bring strong analytical thinking, a curious mindset, and the ability to work effectively in diverse, international environments. You are comfortable engaging with stakeholders, solving complex problems, and contributing to meaningful outcomes.

You are an experienced operational risk and Health & Safety professional with a strong track record in coaching leadership teams within hazardous environments. You are either an established freelancer or available for contract-based assignments and able to deliver impact from day one.

Experience

• Significant experience in operational risk management and workplace safety
• Proven experience delivering coaching and training to leadership teams
• Strong understanding of safety and risk management within hazardous or asset-intensive environments
• Experience supporting behavioural and cultural change programmes

Capabilities

• Strong coaching, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to influence leadership behaviours and decision-making
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
• Ability to translate risk insights into practical, actionable improvements

Languages

• Fluency in Dutch (mandatory requirement)
• Fluency in English (mandatory requirement)

Mobility

• Willingness to work on client sites across the Netherlands
• Availability to work on a freelance/contract basis
