About us

DUN XIN is an independent livehouse hosting liveshow, amazing live performances and DJ sets. We put on a few shows a month and care about two things: great nights for audiences and a smooth, respectful experience for the artists who play here.

The role

As Stage Manager, you run what happens on and around the stage. You’re the link between artists, the sound and lighting crew, front-of-house, and venue management, keeping every show on time, safe, and running smoothly from load-in to load-out.

What you’ll do

  • Coordinate load-in, soundcheck, doors, set changes, and load-out for each show
  • Create and communicate show schedules and run sheets to artists and crew
  • Act as the main point of contact for bands, promoters, and tour managers on show day
  • Oversee stage setup, including backline, monitors, stage plots, and changeovers
  • Work with the sound engineer and lighting tech to meet technical riders where possible
  • Call cues and keep changeovers tight so shows run to time
  • Enforce safety procedures on and around the stage, including cable management, rigging checks, and crowd and artist safety
  • Maintain stage equipment and report faults or repair needs
  • Brief and supervise stagehands, runners, and volunteers
  • Keep show reports (timings, incidents, issues) and hand over notes to management

What we’re looking for

Essential

  • Min. 8 years of experience in stage management, live production, or venue operations (livehouse, club, or festival experience is a plus)
  • Solid understanding of live sound and stage setup: stage plots, input lists, monitors, and backline
  • Calm and decisive under pressure, with strong organisation and time management
  • Clear, friendly communication with artists, crew, and management
  • Able to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays
  • Able to lift and move equipment and stand for long periods

Nice to have

  • Basic knowledge of lighting and audio consoles
  • Experience reading technical riders
  • First aid / CPR certification
  • Working knowledge of Mandarin and English
  • Background as a musician or technician
