  • Interface with process, mechanical, civil, structural, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines to ensure proper integration of piping systems.
  • Participate in model reviews, layout reviews, constructability reviews, HAZOP sessions, and design coordination meetings.
  • Review vendor drawings and equipment data to ensure proper incorporation into piping layouts and 3D models.
  • Prepare material take-offs (MTOs), piping support requirements, and assist in the development of piping design documentation.
  • Support stress analysis requirements by incorporating flexibility, accessibility, operability, and maintenance considerations into piping layouts.
  • Ensure adherence to project schedules, quality standards, and safety requirements.
  • Provide technical support during procurement, construction, and commissioning phases as required.

Key Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 8–12 years of relevant experience in piping design for oil & gas projects, with proven ADNOC onshore project experience.
  • Strong knowledge of piping design principles, plant layout development, piping routing, and equipment arrangement.
  • Experience with FEED and Detail Design documentation, 3D modeling, and multidisciplinary design coordination.
  • Hands-on experience in the design of process piping, utility piping, piping supports, underground piping systems, and piping associated with pumps, compressors, vessels, heat exchangers, and package units.
  • Familiarity with piping design codes and standards including ASME B31.3, ASME B31.4, ASME B31.8, API, ANSI, and ADNOC specifications.
  • Proficient in engineering and 3D modeling software such as PDMS, E3D, SmartPlant 3D (SP3D), AutoCAD, Navisworks, or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of piping materials, piping classes, valve selection, support design concepts, and isometric generation.
  • Experience in model clash detection, constructability reviews, and layout optimization.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
