Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Project Manager – Workplace Technology Solutions to lead and oversee the successful delivery of Audio-Visual (AV), Unified Communications (UC), and workplace technology integration projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and mentoring a team of Project Managers, overseeing multiple concurrent projects, ensuring efficient resource allocation, and driving operational excellence across the project delivery function.

This role requires strong leadership, technical understanding, commercial awareness, and stakeholder management skills to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with customer expectations and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management & Delivery Oversight

  • Oversee multiple AV/UC and workplace technology integration projects from initiation through implementation, testing, commissioning, and handover.
  • Provide guidance and supervision to Project Managers to ensure projects are delivered within agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Monitor overall project progress, identify potential risks, and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure project deliverables comply with contractual obligations, technical specifications, and customer requirements.
  • Lead project reviews and provide regular updates to senior management on project status, risks, and financial performance.
  • Escalate and resolve complex project issues to minimise disruption to project delivery.

Team Leadership & People Management

  • Lead, manage, mentor, and develop a team of Project Managers, ensuring consistent project management practices and delivery standards.
  • Oversee workload distribution and resource allocation across multiple projects.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and identify opportunities for professional development.
  • Support Project Managers in resolving project challenges, managing stakeholders, and making critical decisions.
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performance team culture.
  • Identify opportunities to improve team productivity, project delivery efficiency, and overall operational effectiveness.

Stakeholder & Client Management

  • Serve as a senior point of escalation for key clients, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction and long-term business partnerships.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Presales, Engineering, Procurement, and Operations teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Participate in key project meetings, progress reviews, and client discussions where senior management involvement is required.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Financial & Commercial Management

  • Oversee project budgets, cost control, revenue recognition coordination, and profitability across the project portfolio.
  • Monitor project financial performance and work with Project Managers to minimise cost overruns and protect project margins.
  • Review and approve project resource plans, procurement requirements, and variation orders within delegated authority.
  • Identify potential commercial risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
  • Work closely with Finance and Commercial teams to monitor project billing milestones, outstanding payments, and financial performance.

Process Improvement & Quality Assurance

  • Establish, standardise, and continuously improve project management processes, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Ensure proper project documentation, reporting, risk management, and change control procedures.
  • Drive operational improvements to enhance project delivery efficiency, resource utilisation, and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations, company policies, and relevant industry standards.
  • Oversee project closure activities, including final documentation, client acceptance, and lessons-learned reviews.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of project management experience within the AV/UC, systems integration, or workplace technology solutions industry.
  • Must have experience working on-site at clients’ locations.
  • Proven experience leading and managing Project Managers or multidisciplinary project delivery teams.
  • Experience with Audio-Visual systems, Unified Communications solutions, video conferencing, and workplace technology integration.
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing multiple concurrent projects, including budget management, resource planning, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, resolve escalations, and deliver projects within demanding timelines.
  • Good commercial awareness, including project costing, profitability, variation management, and contractual obligations.
  • Experience with workplace technology solutions such as Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, Crestron, Extron, Q-SYS, Cisco, Logitech, or Poly.
