Automation & Optimization

  • Identify opportunities to automate infrastructure deployment, configuration, monitoring, and operational processes.
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using tools such as Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.
  • Use scripting and automation to improve reliability, reduce manual effort, and accelerate service delivery.
  • Continuously evaluate infrastructure performance, utilization, and cost to identify opportunities for optimization.

Project Leadership & Execution

  • Lead and drive the execution of complex infrastructure and cloud projects from planning through implementation.
  • Coordinate technical activities across engineering, operations, security, application, and other stakeholder teams.
  • Establish project milestones, track progress, identify risks and dependencies, and drive issues through resolution.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams and project stakeholders.

Data, Reporting & Financial Analysis

  • Analyze and reconcile infrastructure cost, inventory, utilization, performance, risk, and operational metrics.
  • Leverage advanced Excel and data analysis skills to identify trends, discrepancies, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and present dashboards, reports, and performance metrics to technical and executive audiences.
  • Use data-driven insights to support infrastructure planning, prioritization, and decision-making.

Stakeholder Communication & Collaboration

  • Partner closely with developers, security teams, operations, architecture, and business stakeholders to deliver effective infrastructure solutions.
  • Develop and deliver clear presentations covering technical strategy, project status, risks, performance, and recommendations.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear and actionable information for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Documentation & Continuous Improvement

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure architecture, configurations, processes, standards, and operational procedures.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to other engineers and team members.
  • Research emerging technologies and recommend tools, platforms, and best practices that improve infrastructure capabilities.
  • Promote standardization, operational excellence, security, and continuous improvement across the environment.

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of hands-on AWS experience, including designing, implementing, and supporting production cloud environments.
  • 5+ years of network engineering and administration experience, including enterprise networking concepts and troubleshooting.
  • 5+ years of Windows and Linux systems administration experience.
  • Strong understanding of hybrid cloud and datacenter architecture, including servers, networking, storage, databases, applications, and cloud services.
  • 5+ years of experience administering and supporting web server technologies, such as IIS, Tomcat, WebSphere, or similar platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) technologies such as Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation.
  • Strong scripting and automation experience using PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar technologies.
  • Experience with enterprise infrastructure, monitoring, security, reporting, and IT service management tools, such as Rapid7, CrowdStrike, Ivanti, Elasticsearch, Splunk, Dynatrace, Power BI, Jira, and ServiceNow.
  • Demonstrated experience leading the execution of complex technical projects involving multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to analyze technical, operational, financial, and performance data and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts, recommendations, and project status across varied audiences and communication channels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated focus on continuous improvement.
  • Experience providing technical leadership to engineering teams, both directly and through cross-functional project leadership.
  • Ability to independently learn and quickly adopt new technologies, products, platforms, and deployment models.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant AWS and Microsoft certifications, such as AWS Solutions Architect, AWS SysOps Administrator, or Microsoft Azure certifications.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
