Job description

The Head of Product Marketing owns the market, buyer and competitive intelligence that shapes how Dynamic Planner positions, packages and takes its propositions to market.

The role will translate product capability into commercially focused messaging, sales enablement and GTM strategy that helps Dynamic Planner differentiate in a fast-moving digital advice, AI and financial planning technology market ensuring that Dynamic Planner stands out in a crowded marketplace.

Ultimately, the role is to champion market problems and the customer's voice within the product lifecycle, from conception to launch and beyond, to secure a market-leading position for our award-winning financial planning solutions. Competencies (knowledge/skills/experience)

  • Product marketing leadership experience in B2B SaaS, fintech, advice technology, wealth technology, financial services technology or a similarly complex regulated market.
  • Evidence of building competitive intelligence and using it to shape positioning, sales enablement and product/commercial decisions.
  • Strong proposition and messaging capability, with the ability to simplify complex technology into persuasive buyer-led messaging.
  • Commercially confident, with experience supporting pricing, packaging, launch planning and sales enablement.
  • Strong analytical judgement and ability to influence senior stakeholders with evidence-led recommendations.
  • Understanding of UK retail financial services, adviser workflows, compliance considerations or regulated financial technology is highly desirable.
  • Experience of AI-enabled propositions, automation or data-led software is desirable.

Education & Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent professional experience in marketing, business, technology, finance or related discipline.
  • Significant experience in product marketing, proposition marketing or commercial marketing within B2B SaaS, fintech, financial services or regulated technology.
  • Product marketing training or certification, such as Product Marketing Alliance, Pragmatic Institute, Sirius Decisions/Forrester or CIM, would be advantageous.
  • Experience in UK retail financial services, wealth management, adviser technology or enterprise SaaS would be highly desirable.

Key responsibilities

Market and competitor intelligence

  • Own a structured competitor intelligence programme, covering established advice-tech providers, investment research platforms, cashflow tools, AI meeting/reporting solutions and emerging AI-led challengers.
  • Produce regular competitor briefs, battlecards and strategic recommendations that influence messaging, roadmap discussions, pricing and sales conversations. Identify where Dynamic Planner has a defensible right to win, where the proposition is exposed, and what proof points are needed to strengthen differentiation.

Messaging and positioning

  • Own differentiated product and proposition messaging across Dynamic Planner’s priority growth areas, ensuring every message is buyer-led, commercially credible and clearly contrasted against the market.
  • Create messaging books, value propositions, objection handling, proof-point libraries and message frameworks for priority propositions including AI, Tram, cashflow, profiling, reporting automation, integrations and enterprise platform capability.

Commercial and pricing influence

  • Partner with Sales, Finance, Product and Marketing to provide pricing and packaging insight, using competitor evidence, win/loss feedback, customer value analysis and sales challenges to inform recommendations.
  • Support the development of clear value narratives for premium modules, bundles, enterprise propositions and AI-enabled capability.

Sales and AM enablement

  • Build a high-quality sales and account management enablement engine, including battlecards, discovery questions, objection handling, demo narratives, proposition one-pagers, ROI/value stories and adoption/upsell collateral.
  • Ensure Sales and AM teams can explain not just what the product does, but why it matters, why now and why Dynamic Planner wins.

Product influence

  • Act as the market-facing strategic partner to Product, feeding competitor, buyer, customer and sales insight into proposition development, roadmap prioritisation and launch readiness.
  • Challenge product-led assumptions where market evidence, buyer need or competitive threat suggests a different focus.

GTM and launch governance

  • Own GTM strategy and launch governance for priority propositions, applying launch tiering so investment, messaging, sales enablement and campaign support match commercial importance.
  • Define launch objectives, audiences, proof points, success measures, internal communications and field enablement requirements.

Win/loss and customer insight

  • Run regular win/loss and customer insight reviews, turning buyer feedback into practical recommendations for messaging, collateral, roadmap, pricing and sales process improvement.

Job benefits

Career development:

  • Comprehensive training programs to enhance marketing skills and product knowledge.
  • Opportunities to work with a diverse team, fostering an inclusive and empowered work environment.
  • Access to cross-functional projects that contribute to professional growth and skill diversification.
  • Regular performance reviews and feedback sessions to help identify and pursue career advancement paths.
  • A culture that values innovation, allowing team members to take initiative and lead on new strategies.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
