Job Description:

Dynamo Technologies is seeking a Systems Engineering Configuration Manager to provide systems engineering support for the Alternative Navigation (ALTNAV) program within PdL NAVWAR. The selected candidate will support the development, integration, testing, configuration management, and ongoing technical management of ALTNAV capabilities throughout the program lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will have a strong systems engineering background and experience supporting DoD acquisition programs, with the ability to manage engineering tasks, evaluate technical issues, coordinate with vendors and stakeholders, and develop and maintain engineering and acquisition documentation.

This position requires an individual who can work independently on assigned engineering activities while collaborating closely with product leadership, government stakeholders, vendors, platform organizations, and external stakeholders supporting the ALTNAV system-of-systems approach.

Duties/ Responsibilities:

  • Manage the systems engineering model and engineering tasks; prepare for engineering review boards, lead TIR scoring reviews and CCBs, review and validate ECPs, conduct configuration management, and review software patches and failure securing reviews.
  • Develop and maintain systems engineering processes and documents, including Systems Engineering Plans, configuration management plans, risk management plans, DoDAF products, and integrated master plans. Coordinate deliverables with the PM PNT product integrated master schedule.
  • Manage technical performance for the CMFF program, including requirements decomposition, software-intensive system management, system-of-systems integration planning, and Agile software development planning.
  • Analyze, develop, derive, allocate, document, and track requirements for classified and unclassified PNT products.
  • Support concept development, sensor and system design, architecture, modeling and simulation, and hardware, software, and network integration.
  • Support integration of PNT products with client systems on Army platforms, including host-platform integration, test and evaluation, hardware and software validation, experimentation, and field demonstrations.
  • Identify and manage technical and program risks. Evaluate interoperability, sustainment, operational benefits and constraints, and DOTMLPF impacts in accordance with DoD guidance and IEEE Standard 1220 principles.
  • Assess improvements to existing products, applications, requirements, and materiel solutions, as well as emerging PNT and augmentation technologies, strategies, tactics, and training. Help ensure proposed solutions are achievable within program cost and schedule goals.
  • Attend SSRs, SRRs, SFRs, PDRs, CDRs, PRRs, FCAs, and PCAs, including pre- and post-review activities. Participate in IPTs, working groups, and engineering meetings, and recommend engineering, testing, and other improvements.
  • Create, review, and update engineering and acquisition documents to meet system requirements and program milestones. Provide input for staffing through PM PNT leadership and keep program briefings current.
  • Provide technical input to cost estimates, Statements of Objectives, Statements of Work, Performance Work Statements, performance specifications, related solicitation documents, and proposal evaluations.
  • Review technical data artifacts for acceptability, maintain product-to-data relationships, and manage databases supporting requirements tracking, product planning, systems engineering, and configuration management.
  • Coordinate with government clients, product and platform teams, vendors, and external stakeholders. Assess vendor progress and advise the Assistant Product Manager on technical issues and solutions.
  • Plan future technical enhancements for the ALTNAV program and collaborate with stakeholders on standard operating procedures for system health monitoring, failures, and mitigation.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Experience developing or maintaining systems engineering plans, requirements documentation, risk-management artifacts, or configuration-management documentation.
  • Understanding of the systems engineering life cycle, including requirements, architecture, integration, verification, validation, and test and evaluation.
  • Ability to evaluate complex technical information and communicate clear recommendations to technical and program leadership.
  • Strong written, presentation, collaboration, and stakeholder-management skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience supporting Army PNT programs, PNT Modernization, CMFF, or ALTNAV initiatives.
  • Experience managing systems engineering models and supporting engineering review boards.
  • Experience leading TIR scoring reviews or supporting CCBs and ECP reviews.
  • Experience with software patch reviews, configuration audits, failure analysis, or system health monitoring.
  • Experience with software-intensive systems and Agile software development planning.
  • Familiarity with DoDAF, IEEE Standard 1220, and DoD systems engineering guidance.
  • Experience with system-of-systems engineering and Army platform integration.
  • Experience supporting formal technical reviews, including SRR, SFR, PDR, CDR, PRR, FCA, and PCA.
  • Experience with modeling and simulation, hardware/software integration, network integration, and test and evaluation.
  • Experience developing acquisition documentation, cost estimates, technical briefings, and solicitation materials.
  • Experience coordinating with vendors and assessing technical progress against program requirements, cost, and schedule.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Systems Engineering and at least three years of systems engineering experience supporting DoD systems; or Master’s degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a closely related discipline and at least one year of systems engineering experience supporting DoD systems.

Travel Requirement:

  • Up to 25% travel

Clearance Requirement:

  • Active DoD secret security clearance is required.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
