  • Accurately document medication administration and resident care in the medication administration record (MAR) and other designated records.
  • Observe residents for changes in condition, medication concerns, or possible adverse reactions and promptly report concerns to the nursing supervisor.
  • Maintain accurate medication records, complete required controlled medication counts, and coordinate with nursing staff and the pharmacy regarding refills and medication availability.
  • Communicate important resident information and outstanding concerns to the incoming shift.
  • Assist nursing staff with gathering information for resident assessments and care plan updates.
  • Check and record vital signs, weights, and blood glucose levels as trained, authorized, and assigned.
  • Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and other activities of daily living.
  • Provide reassurance, reminders, cues, and redirection based on residents’ individual needs.
  • Encourage participation in activities and support residents’ independence and well-being.
  • Use proper techniques and appropriate equipment when assisting with transfers and repositioning.
  • Respond promptly to resident calls and requests for assistance.
  • Support fall prevention efforts and a restraint-free environment.
  • Assist with orienting, training, and coaching caregivers as assigned.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and secure medication storage and work areas.
  • Attend required training, care meetings, in-service programs, and associate meetings.

What You’ll Need

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • At least one year of related work experience.
  • Current Medication Technician certification as required for the position.
  • Knowledge of medication procedures, medical terminology, and accurate documentation.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and sound judgment.
  • A patient, courteous, and compassionate approach to caring for older adults.
  • Commitment to protecting resident privacy and confidential health information.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to perform the essential duties of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, reach, turn, bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, and perform fine motor tasks throughout the workday.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds independently and assist with resident transfers, repositioning, pushing, and pulling using appropriate assistance or equipment.
  • Ability to accurately read medication labels and records, observe residents, and respond to resident calls and safety alerts.

Working Environment

  • Work in an active senior living community with frequent interaction with residents, families, and associates.
  • Provide calm, compassionate support to residents who may experience confusion or emotional distress.
  • Occasional exposure to outdoor weather, dust, fumes, odors, water, and noise.
  • Availability to work assigned shifts, including weekends and holidays, with additional hours as needed.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
