This position will fill in for absences of regular full time employees as needed. Advance notice will be given as much as possible. The Substitute Custodian position will support the regular custodial staff as follows: *Provide a clean, comfortable and safe environment within assigned building as well as perform outside grounds maintenance as needed. 1. Read basic instructions, write notes, hear machine noise, and communicate in a manner needed to perform the duties and responsibilities of the job. 2. Position requires lifting, moving, shoveling, sweeping, bending, carrying and perform other physical tasks related to the duties and responsibilities of the custodian's job. 3. Solve problems and make decisions at the building level, maintaining full communication with the Supervising Custodian.
