At Compare the Market, we’re a purpose-driven business powered by tech and AI. We’re building high-performing, results-driven teams with the skills, mindset, and ambition to deliver outcomes at pace. Every role here plays a part in driving our mission forward, and we create an environment where you can bring your authentic self, grow a truly characterful career, and see the direct impact of your work on the lives of our customers.

We’ve carved a meerkat-shaped niche and we’re looking for ambitious, curious thinkers who thrive in a fast-moving, high-impact environment. If you love accountability, embrace challenge, and want to make a real difference, you’ll fit right in.

We’d love you to be part of our journey.

As the Delivery Manager you will be responsible for leading and driving operational excellence and delivery performance across Mission teams by embedding Agile principles, optimising workflows, and enabling high-performing, outcome-driven teams. Accountable for aligning delivery execution with organisational strategy, ensuring business value is delivered reliably, transparently, and at pace. Champions continuous improvement, fosters cross-functional collaboration, and uses data-driven insights to increase delivery speed, predictability, and quality. Utilising proactive risk management, removal of systemic blockers, and coaching teams to adopt best practices, creating an environment where teams can consistently achieve high performance and deliver measurable results.

Some of the great things you’ll be doing:

Delivery Execution & Agile Facilitation

  • Accountable for end-to-end delivery performance at the Mission level, ensuring outcomes are achieved to agreed timelines, quality standards and strategic priorities.
  • Drive operational discipline by embedding delivery metrics into decision-making and ensuring clear visibility of progress, risk and value delivered
  • Lead Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and stakeholder reviews).
  • Identify, resolve and prevent delivery blockers and optimise workflows to accelerate delivery speed and reduce waste working in collaboration with Portfolio Managers.
  • Champion delivery excellence through consistent performance monitoring, root cause analysis and implementation of improvements
  • Ensure cross-team coordination, managing dependencies with Product and Engineering teams.

Risk & Dependency Matters

  • Own dependency management and proactively manage risks, escalating when necessary to ensure delivery is not impacted.
  • Work with Engineering Managers and Product Managers to resolve technical and business dependencies.
  • Ensure realistic scoping of work, avoiding overcommitment while maintaining delivery momentum.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the accountable owner for delivery outcomes, dependency management, risks and data-driven reporting. Align with Product Managers to prioritise effectively and enable informed decision-making.
  • Partner closely with Delivery Enablement, Engineering Managers, and Product Leaders to ensure Mission delivery directly contributes to pillar-level strategy and organisational objectives, driving both short-term wins and long-term capability uplift.

Continuous Improvement & Agile Maturity

  • Champion and scale Agile ways of working, embedding practices that increase adaptability, collaboration, and speed to value. Use delivery performance metrics (e.g., predictability, cycle time, throughput) to inform strategy, identify improvement opportunities, and track measurable gains in delivery efficiency and quality.
  • Lead high-impact retrospectives and performance reviews that result in clear, measurable improvement actions.

Working Relationships with Engineering Managers

  • Engineering Managers focus on technical excellence and people management. Technology Delivery Managers focus on execution efficiency and Agile facilitation.
  • Collaboration is key- TDMs remove blockers, lead through influence rather than direct reporting lines. while EMs ensure system integrity, team capability and engineer line management
  • Technical decision-making (Owned by Engineering Managers and Staff Engineers). System architecture and quality standards (owned by Engineering teams)

What we’d like to see from you:

  • Expert Level (Must-Have) – Delivery Management in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe), Risk dependency management at the mission level. Strong facilitation and stakeholder management skills. Experience working with cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, Business and Operations).
  • Good Level (Preferred) – Agile process optimization & continuous improvement. Data-driven decision-making using delivery metrics (e.g., cycle time, predictability). Ability to manage technical dependencies without owning technical decisions).
  • Basic Level (Nice-to-Have) – Understanding of engineering best practices (CI/CD, DevOps, automation, AI-Augmented workflows). Familiarity with software development lifecycles and system architecture (but not responsible).

Why Compare the Market?

We’re a business built for pace and performance. Here, you’ll be encouraged to think differently, act boldly, and deliver brilliantly in a culture that values results and rewards progress.

We believe diverse teams make better decisions, and we’re committed to creating an inclusive workplace where everyone feels empowered to grow, contribute, and thrive.

If you’re ready to stretch yourself, raise the bar, and grow with a team that’s serious about performance, innovation, and purpose, we’d love to hear from you.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
