Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced, visionary, and hands-on Head of Curriculum Specialist to lead our curriculum development, instructional delivery, and business expansion efforts. In this pivotal role, you will be the driving force behind our STEM educational programs tailored for young learners (aged 2–6) across Singapore.

The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in preschool education or school leadership, a proven ability to design engaging STEM curricula, and the commercial acumen to drive B2B partnerships with preschool principals and educational institutions. If you are passionate about early childhood STEM education and eager to lead a dynamic team from the ground up, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

1. Curriculum Development & Instruction (40%)

  • Curriculum Design & Innovation: Spearhead the development, structuring, and continuous improvement of hands-on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) curricula and teaching kits aligned with Singapore’s ECDA and Nurturing Early Learners (NEL) frameworks.
  • Standardized Lesson Planning: Lead the academic team in creating standardized, high-quality lesson plans, teacher guides, presentation decks, and student learning kits.
  • Instructional Leadership & Delivery: Conduct model/demonstration classes, teach core sessions when required, and ensure the highest standards of classroom engagement and teaching quality.
  • Quality Assurance: Establish and monitor regular classroom observations, teacher evaluations, and feedback loops with partner schools.

2. Team Leadership & Talent Management (30%)

  • Team Building & Mentoring: Train, lead, and mentor a team of STEM educators and teaching assistants, fostering a culture of continuous learning and high accountability.
  • Operational Coordination: Streamline daily academic workflows, scheduling, and curriculum rollouts across multiple centers/locations in coordination with administrative staff.
  • Professional Development: Conduct regular training workshops for teaching staff to elevate their pedagogical skills and classroom management.

3. Market Expansion & B2B Sales Support (30%)

  • Institutional Partnerships: Act as the academic and brand ambassador to connect with preschool principals, centre directors, and school owners across Singapore to introduce and pitch our STEM programs.
  • Sales & Marketing Conversion: Lead trial classes, presentations, and workshops for prospective institutional clients, effectively converting educational value into commercial partnerships and contracts.
  • Market Insights: Monitor early childhood education trends, competitor offerings, and market demands in Singapore to refine our curriculum packages and go-to-market strategy.

Job Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in early childhood education, curriculum development, or school management. Previous experience as a Principal, Vice-Principal, Head Teacher, Senior Curriculum Developer, or Head of Department (HOD) is highly preferred. Hands-on experience in designing or teaching STEM, robotics, maker-space, or logic-thinking programs for young children.
  • Qualifications: Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, STEM-related fields, or equivalent. Possessing an ECDA-recognized L2 teacher certification, leadership credentials (e.g., Diploma in Preschool Leadership), or equivalent Singapore teaching credentials is an advantage.
  • Competencies & Skills: Exceptional leadership and mentoring abilities with a "hands-on" execution mindset. Strong commercial awareness and business development acumen, with confidence in pitching to school executives and closing partnerships. Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and public-speaking skills in both English and Mandarin (to liaise with bilingual stakeholders and educators). Highly organized, adaptable, and thrives in a fast-paced startup environment.

What We Offer

  • Competitive Remuneration: Attractive base salary supplemented by performance bonuses and business expansion incentives.
  • Leadership Ownership: Opportunity to shape the academic vision and core business strategy of an innovative early-stage educational startup.
  • Growth & Career Progression: Clear advancement paths and long-term growth opportunities as the company scales across Singapore.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
