Job Description

About Us

Tradeweb is a global leader in electronic trading across asset classes. As financial markets become increasingly interconnected, our technology enables efficient, multi-asset trading on a global scale. We serve more than 3,000 clients in more than 85 countries, including many of the world’s largest banks, asset managers, hedge funds, insurers, corporations, and wealth managers.

Creative collaboration and sharp client focus have helped fuel our organic growth. We facilitated average daily trading volume (ADV) of more than $2.8 trillion over the past four fiscal quarters, topping $3.3 trillion in ADV for the first quarter of 2026.

Since our IPO in 2019, Tradeweb has completed four acquisitions and doubled our revenues – and 2025 was our 26th consecutive year of record revenues.

Tradeweb plays a central role in modernizing market structure by developing innovative trading protocols, embedding analytics into execution, and building technology infrastructure that supports the convergence of traditional and digitally native financial markets. Tradeweb is a great place to work, recognized in 2025 by Forbes as one of America’s Best Companies and by U.S. News & World Report as one of the Best Financial Services Companies to Work For.

As a technology-driven organization, we value individuals who embrace innovation and are eager to leverage emerging technologies, including AI, to improve efficiency, enhance decision-making, and deliver better outcomes for clients and colleagues. We believe the greatest impact comes from combining technological capabilities with human expertise, judgment, and accountability.

The Opportunity

The Tradeweb international legal team is based in London and Singapore and is made up of 6 qualified lawyers and 4 legal administrators. The team is responsible for the legal, and regulatory issues affecting Tradeweb’s business arising outside of the US – predominantly in Europe, Asia and the Middle East.

This is a new role in our Asia legal team. You will join the Head of Legal, APAC as the second lawyer in the region, supported by our legal administrators, and will work closely with key business stakeholders across Asia.

You will support the Tradeweb Asia businesses (with offices in Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Tokyo, Sydney and Mumbai) and will also gain exposure to the wider work of the International legal team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer with a few years’ experience who wants more responsibility, direct access to the business and close mentoring from an experienced Head of Legal, in a fast-growing financial markets technology business.

What You’ll Do

  • Advising on, negotiating and drafting a wide range of commercial contracts for Tradeweb’s services, including client agreements, vendor agreements, market data contracts and cooperation agreements.
  • Acting as the day-to-day legal point of contact for the business teams in Asia, including sales, client services and dealer relations, being responsive to their needs and accountable to key management stakeholders in our Asia offices.
  • Working with the Head of Legal Apac to understand new projects and initiatives and to advise on their legal implications, and to resolve legal issues affecting the Asia businesses.
  • Assisting with regulatory and compliance issues in Asia and keeping up to date with regulatory developments that may affect our Asia locations.
  • Providing legal support, where required, to other Tradeweb teams such as Regulatory Compliance and Risk.
  • Liaising with external counsel where appropriate.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Qualified lawyer with 4–6 years’ post-qualification experience.
  • Admitted to practise in Singapore or qualified in another common law jurisdiction (e.g. England & Wales, Hong Kong, Australia)
  • Experience gained either in-house in a commercial organisation or in private practice (ideally advising financial services, fintech or technology clients).
  • Excellent drafting skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritise and proactively manage a wide variety of work, with excellent organisational skills.
  • Strong communication skills, working effectively with both business and legal colleagues.
  • Ability to challenge and think independently, and to demonstrate good commercial and legal judgement.
  • A collaborative team member who can work independently, with support where required.
  • Has the right to reside and work in Singapore

Desirable Skills & Experience

Content

  • Previous in-house legal experience.
  • Exposure to the financial services industry and to advising on financial services regulatory issues in Asia (for example MAS or SFC regulated activities).
  • Experience assisting on compliance-related issues.
  • Business-level proficiency in Mandarin, Japanese or Korean, which will be helpful in supporting Tradeweb's businesses across North Asia

Work Arrangement and Location

Singapore CBD-based, with full-time office presence required throughout the six-month probation period. The legal team provides on-site advice during core market hours (8am – 5:30pm).

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
