About the Role

As a Software Developer at EcoOnline, you will join one of our core product engineering squads, helping shape and develop our online product and core platform.

You will be responsible for the design, development and testing of our core platform, supporting the delivery of an end-to-end online Environmental, Health and Safety journey for our customers.

This is an opportunity to work on meaningful SaaS solutions that enable customers to input, analyse and act on their EHS data quickly, helping them make intelligent and informed decisions.

You will play a key role in helping EcoOnline protect people and the planet by building high-quality, scalable software used by businesses across a wide range of industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain software solutions across frontend, backend, and database layers.
  • Work with distributed systems and APIs, ensuring seamless integration between products.
  • Contribute to the design and development of shared services (e.g., authentication, hierarchy management).
  • Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and mentoring to support team growth.
  • Work closely with Product Managers and other stakeholders to understand problems and deliver high-impact solutions.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices in scalability, security, and performance optimisation.
  • Support and troubleshoot production systems as needed, collaborating with the Cloud Operations team where required.
  • Apply AI tools to accelerate design, testing, and delivery, exercising judgement to validate and take ownership of the output.

What we're looking for:

  • 5+ years’ experience in software development, ideally within SaaS, web, mobile web or consumer-focused product environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience with C#.Net, modern JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, and working knowledge of databases and document stores.
  • Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Microsoft Azure or similar, as well as containers such as Docker.
  • A clean-coding and test-driven mindset, with strong knowledge of unit and integration testing, performance and security considerations.
  • Experience with Git, continuous integration and deployment, and an interest in serverless approaches and technologies such as Elasticsearch.
  • A degree-level education is preferable but not essential; we are especially interested in practical experience, curiosity and engineering best practice.
  • Desirable experience includes developing responsive applications and working with Elasticsearch.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
