Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Trailer & Diesel Mechanic with proven experience in maintaining and repairing a wide range of equipment, including trucks, trailers, excavators, forklifts, loaders, and screeners. The ideal candidate will hold a Cummins certification and possess strong knowledge of Davie 4 diagnostic software. This role requires a versatile mechanic with the ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair both heavy-duty diesel engines and hydraulic/electrical systems across multiple types of equipment. Duties and Responsibilities: 

Inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines, trailers, and heavy equipment (excavators, trucks, forklifts, loaders, screeners). Perform preventative maintenance to ensure safe and efficient operation of all fleet and equipment. Utilize Davie 4 software and other diagnostic tools for troubleshooting and repair. Inspect, repair, and service fuel and brake systems, transmissions, hydraulics, suspensions, exhaust, and electrical systems. Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks. Document repairs and maintenance accurate records of repairs and maintenance and part usage in compliance with company and DOT requirements. Test repaired equipment for proper performance. Ensure all work is performed safely and in accordance with OSHA and company safety standards and environmental regulations. Collaborate with other mechanics and technicians to resolve complex issues. Provide input on continuous improvement and equipment reliability. Stay current with industry trends and technical advancements.

  Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: 

Cummins certification preferred. Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Davie 4 diagnostic software. 5+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic, preferably with trailers and mixed heavy equipment. Demonstrated ability to diagnose and repair a wide range of equipment: excavators, trucks, trailers, forklifts, loaders, screeners. Strong understanding of hydraulic and electrical systems. CDL (preferred but not required). Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently. Commitment to workplace safety and teamwork.

Office Environment: This position may operate in an office environment and is not expected to adverse environmental conditions. Manufacturing Environment: This position may operate in a manufacturing setting with conditions of high-pressure air/steam/gas, hazardous gas/chemical fumes, extreme heat and temperature variations, loud noise, exposure to dangerous machinery, dirty work environment and/or exposure to dust (pigment).  The position is required to wear PPE including, but not limited to safety glasses, steel toe/composite boots and earplugs.

Manual dexterity and visual acuity to operate standard office equipment such as computers and phones. Attention to detail to complete work assignments. Time management to comply with scheduled work time and maintain productivity requirements. Ability to understand and abide by safety policies and maintain a safe work environment. Ability to move throughout the work location to comply with safety requirements.
