Job description
The European Centre for Press and Media Freedom is looking for an intern to support the relaunch and management of our website. ECPMF works to protect and promote press and media freedom across Europe. Through practical support, advocacy, monitoring, legal assistance, emergency relocation, and programmes for journalists in exile, we respond to threats against journalists and help defend independent media as a public good. Our work includes projects such as the Media Freedom Rapid Response, the Journalists-in-Residence programme, legal support for journalists, support for journalists in exile, cross-border investigative journalism initiatives, and public-facing campaigns on press freedom, safety, SLAPPs, exile, and democratic resilience. We are currently rebuilding our website and updating our corporate design. The intern will play an active role in this process: transferring existing content to the new system, reviewing and adapting texts, and writing new content where needed. The internship offers hands-on experience in web content, editorial work, and digital communications within an international press freedom organisation.
