Hva er BPA?

Brukerstyrt personlig assistanse (BPA) er en alternativ måte å organisere tjenestene praktisk og personlig bistand på for mennesker med nedsatt funksjonsevne. BPA er et likestillings- og frigjøringsverktøy, og gjennom bistand fra egne assistenter legges det til rette for at personer med bistandsbehov får et aktivt og mest mulig uavhengig liv.

Om meg og mitt behov

Jeg er en voksen dame på 62 år, som bor i en leilighet sentralt i Oslo. Jeg har i dag tre faste assistenter som jobber fra kl. 08.00 til kl. 16.00 hver dag, og som fungerer som mine armer og ben. Jeg ser etter flere vikarer til teamet mitt, som kan stille opp til både planlagt og uforutsett fravær.

Jeg ser etter deg som møter mennesker med varme, respekt og nysgjerrighet - uavhengig av hvilke utfordringer de måtte ha. Det er viktig for meg at du evner å se hele mennesket, og ikke bare behovene. Noen dager kan være krevende, og da trenger jeg deg som står stødig og møter situasjoner med ro og forståelse. Du vil få god opplæring av mine assistenter, og kurs du kan ta med deg videre i din karriere.

Arbeidsoppgavene vil blant annet være:

  • Bistand til personlig hygiene og stell
  • Forflytning
  • Handling av dagligvarer
  • Husarbeid
  • Matlaging
  • Bistå ved trening i hjemmet - herunder sykkeltrening
  • Bistå ved sykehusinnleggelse
  • Følge til og fra avtaler
  • Bistå meg ved bruk av hoste- og sugemaskin

Kvalifikasjoner:

  • Erfaring som BPA er positivt, men vel så viktig er viljen og ønsket om å lære
