YOUR ROLE

As a Facility Assistant, you are the primary point of contact for facility support for our office employees within the hotel. You ensure that the working environment is comfortable, organized, and well maintained, and that practical issues are resolved quickly and effectively. You spend a lot of time on the work floor and proactively identify what is needed. Whether it is a printer that is not functioning properly, a meeting room that needs to be prepared, a coffee machine requiring maintenance, or supplies that need to be replenished, you take ownership and make sure it gets done. In doing so, you play an important role as the link between our employees and the facilities organization.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

Your responsibilities are varied and include, among others:

  • Keeping the lobby, staff canteen, and meeting rooms tidy, organized, and representative.
  • Preparing meeting rooms and ensuring they are clean and ready for use after meetings.
  • Ensuring that printers and other office facilities function properly, and identifying or resolving issues where necessary.
  • Managing the maintenance and daily operation of coffee machines.
  • Managing and replenishing office, pantry, and facility supplies.
  • Monitoring stock levels and identifying when new orders need to be placed.
  • Checking that facility areas and equipment are clean, organized, and fully equipped.
  • Identifying and resolving minor practical office issues or escalating them to the appropriate party.
  • Supporting colleagues with facility-related questions and requests.
  • Maintaining contact with suppliers and external service providers when required.
  • Contributing ideas on how we can further improve our office environment.
  • Ensuring a welcoming and professional appearance of the areas used by employees and visitors.

You work independently while also being part of a team. You have a hands-on mentality and do not wait for someone to tell you what needs to be done: you spot what is needed and take action.

Leonardo Hotel Amsterdam Rembrandtpark is a dynamic workplace located in Amsterdam-West. Our hotel features eighteen floors and offers stunning views over the city. On the 17th floor, you will find Floor17, complete with a rooftop terrace, restaurant, and bar. Behind our hotel operations is also a large group of colleagues who work from the hotel every day. You ensure they can rely on a pleasant, well-maintained, and efficiently functioning work environment.

  • You have strong communication skills and enjoy collaborating with a variety of colleagues.
  • Experience in a facilities, hospitality, technical, or similar support role is an advantage.
  • You have a good command of both the Dutch and English languages.
  • You are available full-time.

A specific educational background is not required. We value your practical mindset, sense of responsibility, and commitment to providing excellent service above all else.
