Voor VDAB, is Vlaanderen connect op zoek naar een: UX-UI Designer (VDAB) via Vlaanderen Connect

Jouw toekomstige job

De dienstverlening van VDAB wordt steeds digitaler en daarom zijn we op zoek naar een UX-UI designer ter versterking van het VDAB UX-team. Specifiek zoeken we naar iemand die ervaring heeft in het ontwerpen van digitale producten, met de nodige aandacht voor mooie, doeltreffende UI’s. Finaal verwachten we ook dat je efficiënt kan omgaan met AI en leergierig bent: AI wordt steeds meer gebruikt doorheen ons proces, zowel van exploratie, naar high-fidelity tot code. Vaardigheid met AI tooling is een verwachting binnen deze rol.

Je komt terecht in een UX & design team dat een brede missie heeft naar zowel werkzoekenden en werkgevers. Denk bijvoorbeeld aan het aanleren van nieuwe competenties, het plaatsen van vacatures, zich oriënteren op de arbeidsmarkt... Het UX-team ondersteunt deze diensten door ze zo gebruiksvriendelijk mogelijk te maken. Naast de maatschappelijke meerwaarde waaraan je bijdraagt, kom je ook terecht in een fijn team dat belang hecht aan wekelijkse team lunches in Brussel en andere activiteiten.

Daarnaast werken we als team verder aan de professionalisering van onze design werking, bijvoorbeeld: het verder verbeteren van ons design system, web componenten bouwen die andere teams gebruiken, de nodige templates ontwikkelen voor design thinking en de impact van user-centered design uitdragen binnen de organisatie. Finaal evolueren we onze tooling en werking om klaar te zijn voor nieuwe vormen van werken via AI (MCP, agents, ...).

Je bent verplicht een portfolio mee te sturen met je sollicitatie. Geef ook een kort woordje uitleg bij je portfolio en leg uit welke projecten het meest relevant zijn voor jouw sollicitatie bij VDAB.

Jouw talenten en vaardigheden

Wat zoeken we?

  • Een ervaren designer met zowel expertise in user experience design als user interface design.
  • Ervaring met het ontwerpen van digitale producten en diensten waarin UI/UX centraal staat.
  • Kennis van Figma en AI design (via vb. Claude Design).
  • Je bent communicatief sterk. Je verdedigt je werk en overtuigt anderen van je designkeuzes.
  • Je kan onderzoeksresultaten analyseren en vertalen naar designs.

Wat vinden we een grote meerwaarde?

  • Idealiter ben je in staat om je designs om te zetten naar HTML/CSS.
  • Je hebt al zitten experimenteren met AI: Weten wanneer je Claude (Code) gebruikt en hier een mening rond hebben is belangrijk. Je hebt een visie over hoe je samenwerkt met AI.
  • Heb je al ervaring of kennis van web componenten, dan beschouwen we dit als een grote meerwaarde.
  • Kennis of ervaring met design systems.
  • Aandacht voor accessibility (A11Y) en usability, dit zowel design-matig als praktisch. Heb je praktijkvoorbeelden in je portfolio, geef dit zeker mee aan ons.
  • Ervaring met art direction, illustration, branding, graphic design, ... - heb je (sterke) visuele competenties? Geef zeker voorbeelden mee.
