Job Description

We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic faculty member to teach in our HVAC Program. This is a part-time, professional position reporting directly to the Dean of Education. The primary responsibility will be to teach HVAC/R courses. The typical teaching load is two courses each term, with one or two preparations. Applicants will also be expected to provide academic advising to students, and participate in department training, meetings and graduation.

Requirements

  • Completion of an HVAC/R program resulting in a Certificate of Completion or a Diploma; an associate degree is preferred but not required
  • Certifications/Licensure: EPA Universal Virginia (DPOR) Dept of Professional & Occupational Regulations Journeyman or Master HVAC License OSHA 10 HVAC Excellence is not required but desired NATE is not required but desired
  • At least three years of experience as an HVAC/R Technician
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized, motivated, and results-driven
  • Prior higher education/postsecondary teaching experience preferred
