The posting

We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic faculty member to teach in our Surgical Technology program. This is a part-time, professional position reporting directly to the Program Director. The primary responsibility will be to teach Surgical Technology courses. The typical teaching load is two courses each term. Applicants will also be expected to provide academic advising to students, assist the program director, and participate in department training, meetings, and graduation.

Requirements

  • Completion of a Surgical Technology program resulting in an associate degree
  • Certification: CST and/or NRST BLS
  • At least three years of experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist in a clinical setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized, motivated, and results-driven
  • Prior higher education/postsecondary teaching experience preferred
