  • Monitor learner progress and provide timely, constructive feedback.
  • Identify learners requiring additional academic support and implement appropriate interventions.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet individual learner needs.
  • Maintain accurate assessment records and learner portfolios.

Classroom Management

  • Establish a structured, positive, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Maintain high standards of discipline, behaviour, respect, and academic effort.
  • Encourage learner responsibility, independence, resilience, and a growth mindset.
  • Promote positive relationships and a strong sense of classroom community.

Parental and Community Engagement

  • Communicate professionally and regularly with parents regarding learner progress and development.
  • Participate actively in parent meetings, school events, projects, and extracurricular activities.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff to promote learner success.

Professional Development

  • Participate in school-based professional development and collaborative planning.
  • Engage in reflective practice and continuous improvement.
  • Remain informed about curriculum developments, educational technology, and effective teaching practices.

Intermediate Phase Teacher requirements are:

  • Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) specialising in Intermediate Phase OR a relevant degree with a PGCE specialising in Intermediate Phase.
  • Current SACE registration and police clearance certificate.
  • Sound knowledge of the CAPS curriculum and Intermediate Phase teaching methodologies.
  • Strong assessment, planning, differentiation, and classroom management skills.
  • Technologically literate with the ability to integrate digital tools into teaching and learning.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Energetic, organised, reliable, and passionate about learner development.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
