About The Role

Commercial Executive

Fleetwood Town Football Club

Location: Poolfoot Farm & Highbury Stadium

Salary: £24,000

Help drive the business behind the football

Are you commercially minded, organised and confident building relationships? Fleetwood Town Football Club is looking for a Commercial Executive to help grow our hospitality, sponsorship and advertising business while delivering excellent service to our customers and partners.

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you’ll take on a varied role combining sales, relationship management, commercial administration and matchday hospitality. From securing a hospitality booking to coordinating sponsor benefits and welcoming guests on matchdays, you’ll help turn commercial opportunities into positive experiences and lasting relationships.

What you’ll be doing

  • Growing commercial sales: Promote and sell matchday hospitality, seasonal packages, executive boxes, sponsorship and advertising opportunities.
  • Managing customer enquiries: Prepare quotations, coordinate bookings and maintain clear, professional communication from initial enquiry through to delivery.
  • Developing new business: Research prospective customers and sponsors, support sales campaigns and networking events, and identify opportunities for renewals, repeat bookings and additional sales.
  • Delivering matchday hospitality: Coordinate guest lists, seating and dietary requirements, working with catering, ticketing and stadium teams to ensure everything runs smoothly.
  • Supporting sponsors and partners: Help prepare proposals and agreements, coordinate branding and advertising assets, and ensure agreed partnership benefits are delivered accurately and on time.
  • Keeping commercial activity organised: Maintain customer databases, booking records and agreements, support invoicing and payment tracking, and prepare sales updates and reports.
  • Supporting the wider Club: Assist with corporate events, retail, ticketing and customer enquiries, providing professional service to sponsors, businesses and supporters.

What you’ll bring

We’re looking for someone who combines a proactive approach to sales with strong organisation and a genuine focus on customer service.

You’ll need:

  • Strong organisational, administrative and communication skills.
  • A commercially minded approach, with the initiative to identify opportunities and generate business.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Confidence building relationships and working with colleagues, customers and partners.
  • The ability to work independently, take ownership and contribute as part of a team.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • An interest in football, sport and the commercial environment.
  • Flexibility to work matchdays, evenings and weekends when required.

Experience that would be helpful

Experience in sales, commercial operations, hospitality, events, customer service or administration would be an advantage, but is not essential.

We’d also welcome experience of:

  • Selling hospitality, sponsorship, advertising or business-to-business products.
  • Working within professional sport, football, leisure, events or entertainment.
  • Using customer relationship management (CRM), booking or ticketing systems.
  • Working with sales targets, customer retention and revenue generation.

The opportunity

This role offers the chance to contribute directly to Fleetwood Town Football Club’s commercial activity, working across hospitality, partnerships, events and new business. You’ll build relationships with local businesses and Club partners while helping deliver a professional experience both on matchdays and throughout the week.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?
