MEP BIM Coordinator for Data Centers – Independent Contractor (Philippines)

Location: Philippines, Remote

Industry: Mission Critical Facilities and Data Centers

Engagement Type: Independent Contractor Agreement for Provision of Services (long term)

Ehvert Mission Critical, a business unit within Salas O’Brien, is seeking an experienced MEP BIM Coordinator for a long-term independent contractor engagement.

This is an ongoing contractual engagement with a US-based company and is not limited to a single project. The role supports multiple hyperscale and AI data center projects based on business needs.

You will provide services as an independent, self-employed professional under a formal independent contractor agreement.

How to Apply: Submit your resume in English, describing your MEP BIM coordination and data center project experience.

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced MEP BIM Coordinator to coordinate mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection models for mission-critical data center projects.

You will manage multidisciplinary model coordination, perform clash detection, lead issue-resolution workflows, and verify that MEP models meet project BIM requirements. You will work closely with MEP engineers and designers, architects, structural engineers, BIM specialists, project managers, and trade partners to produce coordinated, constructible design information.

Success in this role requires advanced Autodesk Revit and Revizto software expertise, practical knowledge of MEP systems, strong spatial coordination skills, and experience delivering complex data center or other mission-critical facility projects in a collaborative BIM environment.

What We Offer

• Experience in a high-tech industry completing work for an international company. • Unique, cutting-edge data center projects. • Dynamic work partnering with a team of professionals focused on engineering. • Competitive hourly rate. • Ability to collaborate remotely. • Supportive dynamic environment. • English classes made available.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate federated BIM models across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, architectural, and structural disciplines for data center projects. • Perform 3D clash detection, spatial coordination, and interference analysis using Navisworks, Revizto, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or comparable platforms. • Plan and facilitate regular MEP coordination meetings, assign issues to responsible parties, and document agreed resolutions and due dates. • Create, maintain, and track clash reports, coordination logs, model health reports, and issue dashboards through closure. • Review equipment layouts, routing, penetrations, access zones, service clearances, ceiling spaces, and plantroom arrangements for constructability and maintainability. • Verify that discipline models comply with the BIM Execution Plan, project coordinates, naming conventions, approved Revit templates, model segmentation, and file exchange requirements. • Review model geometry and data for the required Level of Development and Level of Information, including system classifications, parameters, equipment data, and asset information. • Coordinate major data center systems, including HVAC and cooling, hydronic and plumbing networks, electrical distribution, containment, fire protection, controls, and related equipment interfaces. • Support the production and review of coordinated drawings, installation information, schedules, and model-based deliverables at each project stage. • Work with design and construction teams to resolve coordination-related RFIs, design changes, field constraints, and model discrepancies. • Manage model exchange, publishing, version control, and issue workflows in Autodesk Construction Cloud and other project collaboration environments. • Contribute to BIM quality assurance, coordination standards, Revit content, templates, and continuous improvement of digital delivery processes.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, architecture, construction management, or a related discipline. • Minimum 5 years of hands-on BIM experience on multidisciplinary building projects, including substantial MEP model coordination responsibility. • Experience coordinating data centers, mission-critical facilities, industrial buildings, healthcare facilities, or other technically complex projects. • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems and their spatial and operational interfaces. • Advanced Autodesk Revit skills, including model linking, worksharing, coordination, creation of families, parameters, and schedules. • Strong experience with Navisworks or Revizto for clash detection, issue tracking, and multidisciplinary coordination. • Working knowledge of Autodesk Construction Cloud, including model publishing, document control, coordination spaces, and issue workflows. • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, equipment layouts, system diagrams, and construction documentation. • Knowledge of BIM Execution Plans, common data environments, Level of Development requirements, model QA/QC, and digital delivery standards. • Written and spoken English at B1 level or higher, with the ability to conduct technical coordination meetings. • Clear communication and documentation skills for coordinating with international design teams and trade partners. • Strong organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple coordination priorities in a remote project environment. • Ability to work independently, follow project procedures, and deliver accurate coordination outputs within agreed schedules.

Why Us

• Perform on high-profile, hyperscale, and AI data center projects in a rapidly expanding industry. • Coordinate complex MEP systems with multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams across multiple project stages. • Competitive terms of the contract. • Dynamic environment fostering creativity through exposure to advanced technologies such as BIM, Autodesk Construction Cloud, digital twins, VDC, and augmented reality.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
