Bring your curiosity and determination to make a positive impact on the future of transport, and we’ll help you go all the way.

Join our team of globally connected specialists to help solve complex transport challenges and experience groundbreaking projects from idea to delivery, and beyond.

Our pledge to you. Join GHD.

Who are we looking for?

The US East Region is looking for a motivated Transit Engineer to join GHD’s growing Transportation practice and support transit projects throughout Georgia and the eastern United States. Based in our Atlanta office, this position will work with multidisciplinary teams on the planning, design, and delivery of transit corridors and supporting infrastructure, including roadway and intersection improvements, transit stations and stops, pedestrian and bicycle connections, drainage, utilities, traffic control, and other civil improvements. Experience supporting Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) and Arterial Rapid Transit (ART) projects is preferred.

The successful candidate will perform civil and transportation engineering assignments from conceptual planning and alternatives analysis through preliminary and final design, permitting, and construction support. Responsibilities may include preparing engineering calculations, design plans, technical specifications, cost estimates, reports, and other project deliverables; coordinating across planning, roadway, traffic, structural, drainage, utility, environmental, and construction disciplines; and working with transit agencies, state and local governments, stakeholders, and project partners. The ideal candidate will bring sound engineering judgment, strong communication skills, and a collaborative approach to delivering safe, accessible, reliable, and passenger-focused transit improvements.

The successful candidate will be comfortable presenting technical concepts, recommendations, and practical solutions to clients and stakeholders in project meetings, workshops, industry conferences, and other public forums. We are looking for a collaborative thought leader who can translate complex engineering issues into clear, compelling messages; contribute informed perspectives on emerging transit trends and best practices; and strengthen GHD’s presence in the marketplace through professional organizations, technical presentations, and client engagement. Experience supporting MARTA projects or programs is also preferred.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
