The posting

We're looking for a Marketing Art Director to help shape how THE FINALS and ARC Raiders look everywhere outside the game: in campaigns, key art, trailers, merch, and partner work. You'll sit in the Marketing team and work side by side with the Game Art Directors on both titles. Together you'll keep each game's identity consistent from in-game to out, and find ways to bring great marketing work back into the games. You'll set the visual direction, build the systems that let others execute it well, and stay hands-on when the work needs it. Example of responsibilities

Partner with game Art Directors to expand Embark’s 2D art production capabilities, unlocking new opportunities for marketing campaigns

Lead art direction across marketing campaigns, keeping the full asset suite consistent across key art, paid media, trailer slates and motion graphics in partnership with game Art Directors.

Build brand design systems that turn our games’ visual identities into scalable toolkits for campaigns and advertising.

Create and maintain style guides so agencies and partners can apply the brand correctly and consistently across digital, print, merch and licensing work.

Explore new visual territory for upcoming marketing opportunities through concept references, mockups and mood boards.

Present creative work with clear reasoning that ties visual choices to channel requirements, audience insights and expected impact.

Direct internal artists, agencies and freelancers, and give feedback that is kind, clear and actionable.

Who you are

A bridge between strategy and craft. You can shape the big-picture direction and then roll up your sleeves to make it real.

A systems thinker. You design for scale, so a single idea can carry from a trailer slate to a T-shirt without losing its identity.

Curious about what's next. You keep up with new tools, techniques and design principles to help us lead rather than follow trends.

A natural collaborator. You like partnering with game teams, respect their vision and look for chances to make in-game and out-of-game work stronger together.

A generous leader. You make the people and partners around you better through clear direction and thoughtful feedback.

Passionate about games, especially ours. You're excited to bring our worlds to life for our players and community.

We would love if you have

A creative and curious mind

Experience as an Art Director or Senior Designer in marketing or brand, ideally for games, entertainment or consumer brands.

A portfolio showing campaign work and brand systems you've led, from first concept to final execution across several channels.

Deep knowledge of the channels where marketing art lives (social, paid media, store pages, out-of-home, broadcast, print, merch, licensing) and what each one demands.

Proven experience building brand identities, design systems or style guides that other teams and partners have used at scale.

Experience directing external partners such as agencies and freelancers alongside internal artists.

Strong skills in typography, layout, colour and composition, plus solid knowledge of motion design principles.

Comfort with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects) or similar tools, and the ability to jump in hands-on.

Interest in emerging technologies, and experience integrating these into your workflows

Clear communication in English, written and spoken, including presenting to stakeholders.

At Embark we offer competitive salaries, passionate colleagues to share knowledge with and much more, but most of all we invite you to take part of a journey into the unknown, to build creative, surprising and beautiful experiences together. Be yourself at Embark and make games while doing so. Please apply with confidence. We can’t wait to hear from you (in English)!

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.
