The posting

Working in the Regional Security Office(RSO), the Foreign Service National Investigator (FSNI) conducts security investigations and maintains liaison with local police and other security and law enforcement officials. The FSNI assists the RSO team in coordinating protection for post personnel and visiting U.S. government officials, obtaining and reporting on information concerning potential security threats to post personnel, facilities, or information.

Requirements: All applicants must address each selection criterion detailed below with specific and comprehensive information supporting each item in their application. Failure to do so may result in a determination that the applicant is not qualified.

  1. Minimum three (3) years of experience in law enforcement, military, private security,or investigation.
  2. At least 2 years of college or university studies or other equivalent post-secondary education is required.
  3. Good working knowledge oral and written English language skills.
  4. Good working knowledge of the local and regional judicial system including criminal laws and procedures, and laws regarding marriage divorce, adoption and military service.
  5. Detailed knowledge of investigative techniques and security databases.
  6. Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to conduct investigations with utmost discretion.
  7. Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting.
