Job Description
As a Quality Engineer, you will collaborate across functions to resolve quality issues, improve manufacturing and quality processes, and identify opportunities that enhance product quality, reliability, and operational performance. You will play a key role in driving continuous improvement initiatives and reporting quality performance and improvement opportunities to plant leadership.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Analyze quality trends and performance data to identify improvement opportunities that reduce Cost of Quality, improve yield, and enhance product reliability.
- Lead or participate in corrective action and continuous improvement initiatives, utilizing root cause analysis to address quality concerns and implement sustainable solutions.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to qualify and approve new processes, materials, tooling, and capital equipment while supporting risk reduction activities through quality planning.
- Develop, coordinate, and maintain quality deliverables including PPAPs, PFMEAs, capability studies, statistical analysis, inspection plans, MSA documentation, quality records, and workmanship standards.
- Support product and process development activities by participating in design reviews, DFMEAs, PFMEAs, and recommending improvements to product design, manufacturing methods, and process controls.
- Collaborate with suppliers to manage PPAP submissions, drive corrective actions for nonconforming materials, and ensure quality requirements are achieved.
- Provide training and guidance on quality tools and methodologies, support Material Review Board activities, coordinate inspections and testing as needed, and perform other responsibilities as assigned.

For This Role, You Will Need:
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field.
- Experience as a Technician or Engineer in a manufacturing environment, including internship or co-op experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
- 2 or more years of experience as a Technician or Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with technical quality tools and methodologies such as statistical analysis, FMEA, SPC, and related quality techniques.
- Experience using ERP and Quality Management System software, with JDE and EtQ preferred.
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Quality Technician (CQT) certification.
- Six Sigma or other Lean Manufacturing certification.
- ISO 9000 experience.
