Ålesund Dyresykehus (Ålesund Animal Hospital) is a modern and well-equipped clinic with a large and experienced team. Together, we have built broad expertise over many years, and we work every day to provide both animals and owners with safe and excellent care. We moved into brand-new premises in 2025, providing us with plenty of space and lots of great equipment. The animal hospital is staffed 24/7 all year round.

As a veterinarian with us, you will be involved in a wide variety of cases and patient types, covering almost all areas of modern veterinary medicine. This includes surgery, internal medicine workups, cardiac assessments, dental treatments, and advanced diagnostic imaging with CT, echocardiography, endoscopy, etc. The clinic has a large client base, offering a high caseload and busy days. Here, young colleagues will be able to develop and gain broad experience in a short amount of time!

With its spectacular fjords, majestic mountains, and unique Art Nouveau architecture, Ålesund is a dream destination for nature and culture enthusiasts. It is a fantastic starting point for outdoor enthusiasts, whether you prefer skis or hiking boots.

We are looking to hire 2 new colleagues for 100% permanent positions. We are seeking:

  • Experienced Surgeon: Tailored continuing education alongside excperienced colleagues is offered. We see many orthopedic patients, and the goal is to offer full-service care for these, either immediately or following a period of skill development.
  • General practice Veterinarian: Preferably with some experience. However, recent graduates with the right mindset are also encouraged to apply. Further education and externship/shadowing opportunities will be provided.

Qualifications:

  • Educated veterinarian
  • Some work experience is desirable, but recent graduates are also encouraged to apply
