Yard Technician ENCON Equipment | Nicholasville, KY | Full-Time

First Hands In. Last Hands Out.

Every machine that comes back to ENCON goes through a Yard Technician first. Every machine that goes out to a customer goes through a Yard Technician last. Our customers count on getting equipment that’s clean, safe, and ready to work, and you’re the one who makes that happen.

This isn’t a back-lot job. It’s one of the most important roles in the company.

The Basics

  • Full-time, Monday to Friday
  • Overtime as needed
  • Some Saturdays from March to Thanksgiving or as needed
  • Outdoor work in all weather conditions
  • Valid driver’s license required

What You’ll Do

  • Check equipment in. You’re the first to inspect a machine when it comes back. Catch the damage and problems early, and document what you find.
  • Get it ready. Clean, service, and inspect every machine so it’s ready for the next customer.
  • Be the final check. Nothing leaves the yard unless it’s safe and working right.
  • Work with customers. Help them load and unload, show them how equipment works, and answer their questions. You’ll talk with customers as much as anyone here.
  • Move equipment. Run forklifts and other machines to move equipment on the yard and load trailers and trucks.
  • Keep the yard running. Stay organized, track where equipment is, and flag anything that needs a mechanic.
