  • Coordinate environmental planning and assessment activities for transportation, transit, municipal and other infrastructure projects.
  • Prepare environmental assessment and planning documents, including ESDs, TESRs, EPRs, DCRs, consultation plans and supporting technical materials.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary environmental studies and integrate input from technical specialists in natural heritage, fisheries and aquatic ecosystems, arboriculture, cultural heritage, archaeology, noise, air quality and hydrogeology.
  • Review project designs and technical submissions to identify environmental issues, impacts, mitigation measures, commitments, permits and approvals.
  • Support public, agency, municipal and stakeholder consultation activities, including notices, presentation materials, consultation records and responses to comments.
  • Liaise with clients, design teams, technical specialists, contractors, municipalities, regulatory agencies and other government authorities.
  • Track environmental commitments and project requirements through planning, design and, where applicable, construction.
  • Assist with project management activities, including scope, schedule, budget and quality control.
  • Contribute to proposals and other business development initiatives.

The list of duties and responsibilities described above is not intended to be all-inclusive and may be expanded/modified from time to time as required by the organization’s needs.

What You Bring

  • Working knowledge of relevant federal, provincial and municipal environmental legislation, policies, standards and guidelines.
  • Understanding of environmental impact assessment, mitigation, environmental commitments and permitting/approval requirements.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, design information and technical reports from an environmental planning perspective.
  • Strong technical writing, document preparation and review skills, with the ability to clearly communicate complex environmental information.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deliverables within project schedules and budgets.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with clients, technical specialists, engineers, contractors, regulatory agencies and other government authorities.
  • Ability to identify environmental issues early, understand their implications for project delivery, and work collaboratively to develop practical solutions.
  • Sound judgement, attention to detail and the ability to manage changing priorities, work independently and deliver high-quality work within tight timelines.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
